Hi, please check the wires of the speaker for damage. If interchangeable with the other working speakers, please temporarily swap them at check if the good speakers continue to work. If so, then you would need to most likely get the rear speaker replaced or repaired. Thank you.

This could get complicated. Your safest option is to use home audio subwoofers as that will be a simple plug in and use setup. If you want to run car subwoofers to a mains powered tuner you will need to know what the Ohm rating is for that sub. The Ohms rating must be the same on both the speaker and sub.. Too low and you risk blowing the Amp/Receiver. Too high and you'll get very poor sound. Car audio equipment is also designed to run on 12 volts where Home audio uses 110v or 240v so that can cause issues as well.

You can’t through the head phone jack but you can behind the receiver. In fact there are several ways you can play music from your phone to the stereo. Use the input for CD player, Tape 1 or 2, video player. Usually the Auxiliary would be used but you don’t have one. Almost all inputs will work except phono.

look at wireless headphones and transmitter. they are readily available on line. I use sennheiser hooked to tv.

The laser head is held onto a carrier and that carrier slides on rails. The disk reads from the inside track to the outer edge. Put in a cd and note the position of the label, close the tray and try to play it. Eject it and see if the lable shows it has rotated. If it has not moved then it is the motor that spins the CD that is not working. Next if the motor is working is to check the carrier. You may have to open the case to do this. See if the carrier slides freely on the rails and move it all the way to the center. Try it again. You also may want to clean the rails with a soft cloth. If the carrier moves and the disk spins, the last thing is the laser diode not working. THis could be a bad diode, a power or cable issue,..

Question edited for maker name. Question moved to Kenwood. Sounds like bad capacitors that perk up when they get warm. Or the volume control needs cleaning with electrical switch cleaner.

it sounds like the button cell battery inside the receiver has gone bad if you take the cover off you will see it its about the size of a quarter. You can purchase a new one for around $4. Let me know if this works or if you need assistance in taking the cover off the receiver
