Security code

If you never set the code and forgot it, with most stuff the code put in by the factory is 0000. Same goes with anything bluetooth most of the time.

Now press and keep pressed the control button for about a second. The clock display should be blinking now. Moving the control button up/down and left/right will set the hours/minutes.When done press the menu button once. You should now have a functioning clock. Trying to hook up last few wires and not sure what they are

Hello jtracer,

Here's a link to the Kenwood manual at Crutchfield.

Here's a link to the color code for the 2000 Dodge Durango.

If you are splicing directly into the vehicle wiring, just match up the wires from your Kenwood to the appropriate vehicle wire by function, not color. If you are using an aftermarket vehicle specific wiring harness, such as the Metra 70-1817, the colors should match up with the Kenwood wires.

Hope this helps.

No display

some people will tell you to reset the unit, you can try that but I don't think it will work.
it has a small little button inside of a very small hole in the display, you can press it with a pen tip or something small like that, but you will lose all things stored in memory. Preset stations, clock ect.

The problem you are having is an electrical one on the main board, or you have a broken connection somewhere on the main board.

The supply voltage for the dislau illumination comes from a transistor ref # Q41. If you have a multimeter and are very good at taking thing apart and putting them pack together perfectly you can try to figure it out yourself. But you also need a power supply and would need to take the wiring harness out of the car to power the radio on.

Your best bet is to take it in and have it looked at by a professional.

This is not a very old radio and may still be under warranty. It gets a 2 year warranty from Kenwood, and if you got the extended warranty, it will be longer.

I hope this helps you, but there is no easy fix for this problem that can be done without some serious electronic troubleshooting skills.

Let me know if you need any further help.

Amps and sub-woofer not working

Enter into the Audio Setup mode(press and hold volume button for at least 1 second). Next, repeatedly push the volume button until the display shows "2 ZONE". Make sure this feature is turned off. Hold the volume button again for at least 1 second to leave Audio Setup mode.

Now you need to make sure the Subwoofer Output is turned on. Do this by holding down(AM position) on the control knob(toggle stick) for at least 1 second. Each time the button is pressed, the Subwoofer Output is turned ON/OFF. the display should show "SW ON".

Next, you can go into Audio Control mode(press but do not hold volume button). Keep pressing on the volume knob until "Sub-WLevel" is displayed. Here you can adjust the amount of gain for the Subwoofer ranging from -15 to +15.

I hope this fixes your problem with it.

Cheers

My kenwood 700w has stopped working. There is no response at all when I press the starter button.

It really depends on whether it is a Kenwood 700W stick blender or a Kenwood 700watt car audio amplifier (the category you posted to) Stick Blender, you just buy another. Car audio, you take to a Kenwood service centre after first checking the inline fuse and car fuses. 'make model (what it is)' in all questions please. https://www.google.com/search?q=kenwood+700w+has+stopped+working ..
