Hello there, certain mp3 players require particular methods to delete and input files onto them. The probem with your unit is that the files which are on the mp3 player have become corrupt and therefore the unit does not recognize them as complete files. Simply wipe off all the contants on the device memory by formating the device memory and replacing the wanted songs onto it. Here is a link to help you download a user guide for the unit incase you have any other problems. Hope this solution has been helpful? Thank you for visiting FixYa.

Usually the ear piece is ok, unless you typically get it caught in something. The main problem is usually found in the opposite end where the wires to the line jack can come looses or the jack is damaged.
