The antenna generally will not retract until the power is turned off at the deck or if you turn the key off (which turns the deck off).Your deck may have a selectable dimmer function in the settings menu you should be able to set it to automatic and it will handle the dimming on its own then.
Wont keep memory
Check the battery wire at your stereo if this is an aftermarket radio check the yellow wire has to be 12 volts any time, if not check the fuse at the radio and at the car fuse box.
I have the same problem error 4 in my lexus rx330 please help me
I just left the Lexus dealership w/ my ES 330 (my changer reads "Error 3" upon starting my car, it also makes a loud ticking noise); go figure, the mechanic/technician there informed me that I need another motor for my disk changer - Merry Christmas and hello $675!
After turning your car off for about an hour or so, the cd player is supposed to reset itself enabling you to retrieve your cd's. Attribute this to having utilized burned cd's.

On a Panasonic radio/cassette player
The " Blue & red spotted " wire that is spare from the rear of the radio transpires to come from the " cold " side of the radio's on / off switch , and serves to be only energized when the radio is switched-on and slowly shuts down on supply voltage when the radio is switched off , thus giveing a supply voltage for the relay & switch over reed switches in the aerial / antenna motor unit for a short run-down-time , to change over and allow the aerial mast to retract , in readyness for when the radio is switched on again and the aerial/antenna mast will power up .
This trigger / sender wire is connected via a 2 amp. fuse through to the aerial / antenna power relay.
The main aerial power motor unit is fed via a 6 amp. fuse.
Two disks inserted at the same time and now are
There are usually two options
1...try and tease the CDs out through the slot using another old CD
2..Extract the player from the dashboard , remove the cover and take out the 2 CDs from the mechanism
Make sure you have the security code before extracting the player
I need to change my system from japanese to english
On many imported cars , the radios have options for
different areas of the world (UK/EUROPE : ASIA
: USA+Americas etc. )
If you have a MENU
button on your radio , see if you can
find this Area choice option.
Once found , then it is
just a matter of switching to the area required

NEED HELP GETTING THE UNLOCK CODE FOR THE
POST ANOTHER QUESTION
quoting ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL
CASING
note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the
Serial Number
Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a
Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip
(EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

I want to install in my car a panasonic car stereo
Hello marlomeneses,
Wiring color codes are different for different makes and models. Go here and select your vehicle for the color code:
www.modifiedlife.com
The best way is to purchase a vehicle specific wiring harness that plugs directly into your car wiring. Splice the wires from the harness that came with your new Panasonic to the vehicle specific harness and plug them in.
Here's an example of such a harness made by Scosche. This one fits 2002 and newer Chrysler/Jeep vehicles. There's a harness for most all vehicles. Local car audio shops, Best Buy, and even WalMart sell such harnesses.

Hope this helps.
Car radio/cd player has stopped working
It could infact be the fuse.. check the fuse panel for radio fuse should be a 10 amp or 15 amp fuse. look for blown fuse .. if u can find the fuse.. pull every fuse one by one.. putting back every one in its place untill you find the right fuse. MAKE SURE KEY IS OUT OF IGNITION. (CAR IS NOT RUNNING) lights off etc.
