TV will no turn on. Panasonic CT25G7F I hear a clickin side far from the power button but nothing.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy. TV won't turn on

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power led, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Replacing CRT neck socket after arcing problem.

Hi.

Don't know what happened to the last post I sent you its disappeared.

What I think you should do is definately replace the CRT white socket (tube base plug).
You can either take the CRT number from the label on the tube & put it in to google then search for Crt base plug.
Or see if there is A repair shop local to you who can order the tube base for you.
Are you definately sure the arcing is external to tube & not happening in the tube neck ?
Is the CRT made by LG / PHILIPS. These are notorius for for arcing over internally I must write at least 1 A week off for this problem.

If you can still run the set try tapping the neck of tube with screwdriver handle if pic flashes or goes predominately1 colour you are looking at the tube with internal short.

If this is the case there are ways of trying to get rid of the internal short let me know what you find ?

Main power button and remote will not turn on tv.

The most common failure for these sets to go totally dead is the degaussing thermistor shorts out thus causing the A.C. fuse to open. The part number for the thermistor is D4DDF1R50001 and the fuse is part number XBA2A00101F... You can do a Google search for these parts. One you get the parts and look at the board where the A.C. cord connects to, the fuse and thermistor are not too far from that point. Its an easy fix if you have any soldering skills. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thanks...

Tv won't turn on

Was the power button from the main outlet(wall) kept in the ON (position)throughout the knight! i.e. switched off by the remote only? In that case a power surge druing the night could have fried some part of the TV circuit. In such case there are many fuses inside the TV which need to be checked out If the main tubes are gone kaput then better to replace the entire set......................sodeep

Arcing between pins on CRT

Hi.

Your problem is due to moisture in the the Crt base socket you will need to replace the white plastic crt plug I have tried to clean & dry them out but it never fully corrects problem.

As far as the pins & glass crt neck goes clean them with Isopropyl alcohol this will thoroughly clean all the carbon off.

No picture no sound nothing

We had a TV repairman look at our 3 year old (Oct 2004) Panasonic CT-32HXC14J FLAT SCREEN TV. It suddenly stopped working and appeared to have no power getting to it. It was a high voltage supply or transformer that was bad and has to be replaced - estimated cost is around $400. In a year we will also need to spend around $125 for a digital converter box. We went for the repair since that is still cheaper than a $1,000 plus equivalent size LCD or plasma.

Our old tube tv was still working after 15+ years. They aren't making them like they used to. Way to go Panasonic.

Pansonic CT-32HXC14

This is a bad connection in the power supply, or a bad connection in the high voltage supply, and could also be expensive to repair if the regulator board is intermittent. I say if you can take it back, good riddance. Good Luck
