Sounds as though you have a convergence problem. The television would automatically adjust this, however if the transistors have gotten weak in the circuit, you would be experiencing the colors not blending together.

Instructions
• 1 Turn on your Sony projector after replacing the lamp.
• 2 Press the "Menu" button, go to the "Lamp Setting" option and select "Lamp Timer Reset." The projector should display a confirmation window asking, "Has the Projection Lamp Been Replaced?"

• 3 Select "Yes." You will receive a message onscreen saying, "Lamp Timer Reset Complete!" Select "Yes" again, and press the "Enter" button to finish.

Turn on the television.

1. Press the volume down button on the TV display (not the remote!)
2. While pressing the volume button, press the "split" or "PIP" button on your remote.

If it works, you'll see a message like this, an the lamp indicator light will turn off. Success!

You haven't replaced the lamp at time. Replace a new lamp along with its ballast and make a lamp time reset. If you wish to get more details about the lamp replacing procedure to Panasonic PTVs, check this link.

Check its ballast. Normally ballast too might have replaced with the lamp.

In most cases, this might be a panel problem.

The suggestions offered were not the answer to my problem. I had in error hit the Lang button at the end of the Comcast remote. Click it again and it's back in English Peter

Hi, It could well be the power supply that is in the back of your set. Have a repairman check it out. It's not a do it yourself thing. Good luck.

I assumed your TV is CRT type right? so try to open the cover and find the yoke<it is found on tube and have a winding wires.Then look at the connector of yoke,, you need to place it to other yoke terminal behind.

After lamp replacement, you must reset the lamptime. Refer to the instructions enclosed with thelamp unit (Part No.: TY-LA1000).

Check convergence circuits, and adjustments. Seek tech support.

That can be either a ballast issue or lamp issue since both can give an arching sound. I would assume its the ballast since tha lamp will usually throw a lamp error light where as the ballast has been known to have issues with that model. If I can assist you further let me know.
