Plasma TV problem - My Plasma tv is having a serious problem. Suddenly the Red color is no longer Red but Orange. The picture looks much worse now. I know it may sound like the set was getting old but I only had this set for less than a year so I don't think it's wear and tear. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I was thinking that it might just require dusting up. Should I open it to clean inside? Please advise. Thanks, D.
Try checking the cable making sure they are tightly plugged in. My dads Plasma screen started showing orange / brown colors in place of primary red... he had been moving things around and didnt realize the wires were loosened in the process. This made him realize.... GET an HDMI and get rid of all the other cables......

Red power button flashes on and off, but no picture comes up.
Pin 93 of the MPU IC9003 monitors the status of the SC, SU, SD board. During normal operation, the photo-coupler PC6480 outputs a low to pin 93. If the SC, SU, or SD board becomes defective, a high is provided to pin 93. As a result, the unit shuts down and the power LED blinks 7 times.

Today my 50 inch plasma TV went switched off itself ,i tried to switch back it will not start I bought this TV one year ago ,and red light is blinking could you please suggest what could have caused it and a possible solution.
Thank you
it could have over heated you can try to reset it first unplug it for about five minutes and try to turn it on if that dont work the remote might have a set button try holding that down until the red light flashes twice, then turn it on if not then hold the power button down on the set for a good five seconds to see if that resets it. if none of that works you will have to go to panasonic .com for the reset instructions.with the red light blinking the power supply is most likely good you just need to reset i.

Panasonic Plasma TV Model# TH-42PD50U. the TV made a popping noise and after disconnecting the Power cord, the Red Light above the power Button is Blinking 2 times. TV will not come on
2 blinks means the unit is having problem with 12 volt supply.
while power on you can check 12DC on power supply before shutdown.if the voltage is constant before shut down I would recommend to replace D board.

While watching the TV l it shut-off and now has the flashing red light in the front – control panel area of the TV. I unplugged the TV all night, and this morning get the same flashing red indicator light. The light flashes a sequence of 12 times, pauses and then repeats the 12-flash again, an again. The only way to stop the flashing is by unplugging the TV. TV is out of warranty - and repair person said 12 flashes indicates need to replace PA, D, and A boards (over $1,000 to fix). Any suggestions? TV is less than 3 years old - and cost over 2500 when purchased.
If the TV goes in standby, then it is in protection mode.
Ensure also that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem on DVD with no receiver box
connected.
Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.
The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible causes.
1The
internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic
charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read
by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the
protection circuit.
2 The protection circuit detected a wrong
voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in
, starting the flashing light.
If you are in situation one, then the TV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.
If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.
If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

On LCD Pay
particular attention at inverter and power board, power board can be
inspected looking for bulged or leaking capacitors, then tested with a
multimeter. The inverter is more difficult to test , there is need to
read voltages, should be done by a tech. Also the LCD controller board can cause same problem
On Plasma, test Sustain (Ysus/Zsus) / Buffer boards , cables to plasma, digital board and power board.
On Rear Projection : check lamp, lamp ballast, power board, and convergence.
On CRT TVs, check ballast , flyback transformer, CRT, Tuner, Convergence.

plasma tv th-42pd50u not come on and keep blinking red light two times and then stop again blinking red light two times and then stop not come on
The light blinking twice means there is a fault within the system and it is a code to tell Panasonic where roughly the fault lies.
Go to Panasonic's web site and look for your set then input the fault code and hopefully they will tell you where the fault lies.

I have a Panasonic TH-42pd50u. The power light blinks 10 times and the picture never comes up. Can you please help?
You have the same problem i have. My Tv just did the same thing 3 nights ago. I unplugged the set, and let it sit ofr about 6 hours, and then tried it again. It turned on and played, but repeated the problem after about 20 or 30 minutes. So far all my research has led me to believe that its a power supply issue. Problem is, there are 5 boards in the tv with seperate pwer supplies, and the 10 red flashes indicate that its all of them. :-(. Im shopping for a new TV, and It wont be a panasonic this time.

what bolts do I need to mount a panasonic tv to a mount
On the back of the TV there is a 1/4 inch nut. You will need a 1/4 x32 thread bolt/screw by 1/2 inch long to mount the wall bracket to the tv. You might also need some spacers to get the screw tight to the TV

my 42 inch Panasonic Plasma TV has a 2 in wide red stripe (vertical) when I turn it on. It seems to disappear after it has been on for about 10 minutes
We originally had a red stripe roughly 3" wide running vertically on the ride edge area of our Panasonic 52" Viera plasma tv. It has now been joined by a solid black stripe of the same width running from the top to the bottom. Living in Germany and purchased at local PX long enough ago that the warranty is likely expired. Now what?
