Panasonic TH-42PD50U 42 in. Plasma EDTV - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Remote control codes
I'd check your Panasonic user's manual, usually, there is a list of codes for "other" devices. There may also be a way to do an automatic upload of the Toshiba device's code if it is on and the right button on the Panasonic remote is pushed.

I have a Panasonic TH-42PX600U that will not turn on
Normally the event that you saw is the power supply. Sometimes it can be a failure on one of the boards that caused the power supply to go in to protect, or be damaged.
You must consider that after about 40,000 to 50,000 hours most electronic devices reach their expected life. There is something called MTBF (mean time between failure). This spec for consumer products is evaluated at normal room temperature of about 72F. A warmer operating environment will reduce the expected MTBF.
As you stated your set is about 2.5 years old. This is before the average MTBF period. Your set must have maybe 25,000 hours at most. I would expect to have a few years more with it.
From my experience when a TV, or appliance, or moist any electronic device has about 5 years of age it should be at its end of life period. At this age of a device investing money to service it has risk something else can fail.

Reset the sound on my panaonic plasma viera
To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.

Panasonic 50 inch Plasma
it could have over heated you can try to reset it first unplug it for about five minutes and try to turn it on if that dont work the remote might have a set button try holding that down until the red light flashes twice, then turn it on if not then hold the power button down on the set for a good five seconds to see if that resets it. if none of that works you will have to go to panasonic .com for the reset instructions.with the red light blinking the power supply is most likely good you just need to reset i.

No blue green yellow like in football peach color flags thrown peach color grass is blue green purple color is black etc etc
Are you using a component video connection (3 wires for the video, colored red, green, and blue)? It sounds as though you are, but correct me if you are using a different connection as the steps will be different. If so, ensure that they are all connected. You can also unplug one at a time while watching the picture. If the colors DON'T change when unplugging any individual wire, then check that wire from end to end looking for cuts/corrosion/etc... If necessary, replace the cable. Also make sure that they're plugged in to the right jacks, they should be color coded. NOTE: there is a red jack for the video AND for the audio. Check carefully that these aren't mixed up.
