Universal remotes don't like combo units. If your original reomte worked before you lost it you are going to have to buy the original remote to solve your problem.

PVQ-2510 service menu

If you fix the vertical cirrcuit correctly, there is no need to go into service menu as your vertical should go back to normal. Re-check your work. I remember one cap on this set that gets overlooked all the time so you may want to check it. It is cap C413 - ceramic cap and sometimes it shorts causing a vertical shrinking as you described. Good luck.

Pvq2510 horizontal line of death

Ok the TV repair shop was correct the problem is with out a schematic you won't know which one it is. Let me explain. Even if you send a picture that actually tells a technician nother but the location of two capacitors. What is needed is a part number c13, c67... you get the point and then these can be looked up in a schematic to determine where they are in the circuit. I would suggest getting a schematic and sending an electronic copy to whomever you want to help you with this problem. I would be glad to help you but as a technician of 25 years I can only say that having and providing a schematic would be of a greater help then a picture. Unless yo plan on taking a picture of the whole circuit board and sending the model number and make of your TV to a technician so that they can look at the picture compare it to a schematic that they have (if they have one) and using that determine which capacitor or capcitors have to be replaced. Thank you,

DTV remote code

KZXten,

Don't know if this will help but I have Comcast as my cable TV provider and am using a Motorola DCT-6200 STB and the remote Comcast provides with the STB. To get my Panasonic TV/VCR combo (PVQ-2510A) to work with the Comcast remote I had to do the following:

1) Do the remote code search in AUX mode (or VCR or DVD mode if your remote has that button instead) using the instructions for searching ing remote codes. I had to toggle back and forth between AUX and POWER on the remote until the TV turned off. I saved that code on the remote, but it only controlled the power on the TV, not the volume control.

2) Next I did the remote code search using the TV button on the remote and toggled between the TV button and the volume control until the volume +/- bar appeared on the screen. I saved that code too.

I use the AUX button to turn the TV on and off. Once the TV is on the volume control on the remote operates the TV volume normally. I still need to toggle between CABLE and AUX depending on which device I'm controlling, the cable Set Top Box (STB) or the TV. You may have to experiment some to get it to work correctly.

Here's a link to the remotes Comcast is providing in my area.

Picture suddenly went dark

Hi, Apparently you have a possible component failure with your Panasonic PVQ-2510. This would involve the circuitry at the back/neck of the picture tube. Diagnosis would require familiarity with discreet components, use of a VOM, soldering and general component knowledge. In as much as it is possible that your red drive transistor (or an IC) would require replacement or resoldering, your best bet is to seek the services of a qualified professional. Should you venture to do a do-it-yourself, pls post back. Good luck and kind regards.

Panasonic hds700tds playing audio no videos

  1. Check the Input Source: Make sure you have selected the correct input source on your TV for the device you are using. Use the remote control to cycle through the input options until you find the one connected to your video source.
  2. Check Video Connections: Ensure that all video cables (such as HDMI, component, or composite cables) are securely connected between your TV and the device you are trying to watch content from. A loose or faulty cable connection could result in a loss of video signal.
  3. Restart the TV and Video Source: Try restarting both your TV and the device you are trying to watch content from. Power off both devices, wait a few moments, and then power them back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches or issues with the video signal.
  4. Check for Software Updates: Make sure your TV's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes software updates can resolve compatibility issues or bugs that may be affecting video playback. Check the settings menu on your TV for an option to update the firmware, or visit the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to do so.
  5. Reset Video Settings: If you've made any changes to your TV's video settings, such as resolution or picture mode, try resetting them to their default values. This can sometimes resolve issues with video playback.
  6. Try a Different Device: If possible, try connecting a different device (such as a DVD player or gaming console) to your TV to see if the issue persists. This can help determine whether the problem lies with the TV itself or with the original device you were using.
  7. Contact Panasonic Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible there may be a hardware problem with your TV. In this case, you may need to contact Panasonic customer support for further assistance or to schedule a repair.

I have a Panasonic 50-in flat screen TV a storm came by and knocked out my TV and my Yukon no breaker was off so did it come through the antenna please help

  1. Check the Power Cord: Ensure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the TV and the power outlet. Make sure there are no visible signs of damage to the power cord or the plug.
  2. Inspect the Power Outlet: Try plugging another electronic device (such as a lamp or a phone charger) into the same outlet to verify if it is functioning properly. If other devices work fine, then the issue is likely not with the power outlet.
  3. Check for Tripped Circuit Breakers: Check your circuit breaker or fuse box to see if a circuit breaker has been tripped or a fuse blown. If so, reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse and try plugging in your TV again.
  4. Test with Different Power Source: If possible, try plugging your TV into a different power source altogether, such as a different room or building. This will help determine if the issue is specific to the power source you were previously using.
  5. Contact Panasonic Support: If none of the above steps resolve the issue and your TV still does not power on, it's likely that there is a hardware problem with the TV itself. In this case, you may need to contact Panasonic customer support for further assistance or to arrange for repairs. Be sure to provide them with details of the troubleshooting steps you've already taken.
Hope this helps

Unfortunately there isn't one. The workaround is to change the Router Password or SSID to remove the plus + for something else.
