Hello there,
The first thing i will advice you run a test on is the thermostat regulator. Check if it is properly set, If it is not properly set, the freezer will not freeze. Have it set properly, and if it is set properly and is still not functioning. Then it means the thermostat regulator is bad and need to be replaced.
You may have a problem with its evaporator coils, condenser, or condenser fan motor, but since you stated that the fan is working, then the fan motor is okay. Frost build-up on evaporator coils, or condenser coils that are covered with dirt, dust, or lint can reduce how well a refrigerator can cool. If you notice ice getting thicker on the inside walls, inside bottom, or inside ceiling of the freezer, you have what is called a frost build-up.
If your thermostat is working properly, there's a chance that you have low levels of refrigerant in the sealed system. If this is where the symptoms lead you, you need to contact a professional appliance repair person. Only an EPA certified technician can legally work on a sealed system. If you attempt to do work on this system, you will void the warranty.

Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing thencheck out the last two tips.

Sounds like you have an airflow issue. drain is plugged up were it is normally drain to defrost the freezer completely find a place to store food in freezer for a few ours leave door of freezer open pull out all shelfs and lay a few tools down at bottom of freezer were you seen the ice build up after you have done that pull ref away from wall take back of bottom look fro drain pan with a turkey baster send water thru back of freezer inside if water still flows back out into freezer drain tube is still clogged use warm water when doing this if you see drain pan full of water use a shop vac that can deal with water suck out water send water again water should go strait to drain pan if still flows out may have to remove drain tube

I wouldn't buy a Daewoo fridge with Donald Trump's money!

You either have a faulty thermostat, a loose connection or most likely a build up of ice inside the freezer. I had the same problem. Almost replaced fridge. Took all the food out one day, took out the racks and disassembled bottom and rear and found a two foot log block of ice inside air return. Removed ice everything works perfectly.

i have the same problem and have tried to contact daewoo on a number of occasions but only to be passed onto an engineer who wants to charge me min two hundred pounds

Look on the back of the unit for a plastic hose coming out the bottom to a drain pan usually sat on top of the compressor. Bend a straw and push up inside. If it won;t go, there is a blockage, usually ice in the drain. Fully defrost the freezer and blow through the straw until clear.
