Usually you hold Vol - on the tv itself and press and hold down the pip or split buttom for 5 seconds until lamp reset is displayed on screen set to 0 and thats it

It wont operate most of the features. You can get a replacement at www.tvrepairworld.com for your model . Just give them a call and they will assist you as they only list a few of the remotes they carry.

I would say you need to replace the lamp.

Ballast Board it what turns Lamp on Call Encompass Parts Distr. or Look on their website.

hello make sure the lamp fitted securely and the cover is fitted securely

After turning on the TV and viewing the message to "reset the lamp" I became frustrated and attempted to shut the TV off by pushing the power button. A message popped up saying "Do you want turn the TV off Yes / no.
I toggled down using the volume/Channel button on the tv to say no. The next thing i know...The TV picture came on and the la,p was reset!!! I really don not know how this happened! but it worked! Thanks for your assistance. Now, i can program a remote!

There is only 2 things that will cause this and one is Dirt on optical Lense OR Light Engine is going BAD if light engine is it it will start showing more spots along with tiny DOTs and color on picture will be green and purple in different areas.

There is a side panel where the Lamp is located and held on by a screw or two.
Open that compartment and vacuum out all dust. Also any fans should also be cleaned.

you will have to open back of tv, then there is a door that you can open and pull out the bulb.

THIS TV HAS ONLY ONE LAMP. HAVE YOU DOUBLE CHECKED THE LAMP ASSESS DOOR BECAUSE IF IT IS NOT SECURE, YOU MAY HAVE ISSUES

Problem is the bulb.
I had this exact same problem.  Even though the bulb appears to be good, it is drawing too much current to run properly, and the ballast is shutting it down.

Probably the ballast if lamp is ok.If there is not even a standby light the the power supply.

Is the lamp new. A lamp can look ok but still be bad. This is first thing to change. You'll have a spare if not bad. next likely the ballast.
