I want to replace the tuner to recieve all the
Not really. The best solution is to attach a box (freeview etc) to the scart at the back, set the channel on that and if you want to record just select the AV channel and time etc. PS if it has PDC switch it to off. They don't work anyway with digital services.

If this problem happens when a video is being played back all you need to do is clean the video head. I would use Servisol Video 40. The best way is to take the top off and give it a good clean wherever the tape comes into contact.

Video tape wont stay in ?
This indicates there is either something stuck/jammed in the cassette loading mechanism, or a fault in the same mechanism.
Unplug it from the mains and gently insert your fingers in to the loading slot - feel and look for anything obvious that shouldnt be there. If you've got kids in the house, all sorts of things will fit in the slot !
Nothing ? Next take the top cover off - normally secured with 2 or 4 screws on the sides, and 1 or 2 screws on the back. Again, carefully look for anything that shouldnt be there - if you've never looked in a VCR before, it all looks strange but soemthing like a sweet, toy, or broken off piece of a cassette is normally failrly obvious. Do not to touch the video head (biggish round thing with a small circuit board on top) as it is very easily damaged by fingerprints, etc.
Still no joy ? Well, the loading mechanism in a VCR is a very clever and complex set of interlinked motors, switches and levers, and requires a lot of knowledge and specail tools to repair it properly. Take it to a repair shop for a quote, and then decide if it's worth it.

Reset/Cancel button no longer works on remote
Its pretty easy to clean the inside of a remote control. Its a bit hard to open it, its mostly clip usually sometimes with a few screw, usually in the battery door if there is. Use glasse flat screwdriver to pry and split in two the box... Just lil patience, pry here and there and youll soon find the way to do it. After its open, you have to clean the rubber pad with hot water and soap and scrub it gently with a cloth. Clean the electronic side with rubbing alcohol and cloth, rub the black carbon contact a bit more... Good luck!

Panasonic NV SJ205 changing RF settings
Hi,
Your VCR has input to record video-audio signal. Here is 2 options to record program in vcr.
1= You need to hook up video-audio cable at Monitor Out in TV and video-audio in at VCR. select Line-1 or Line-2 (where you hook up cable) in vcr and insert cassette with Record Tab intact, VCR is ready to record TV program. select desired channel on tv and hit record button of vcr, recording will start.
2= Plug RF antenna / cable wire in RF In of vcr and tune desired channel in vcr (get help of vcr's user manual for that) and push record button to start record directly in vcr.
Have further query, let me know please.
bye.

Panasonic NV-SJ205 Changing Rf ?
ok. This is a really easy one.
All you have to do is hold down the menu button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds, If that doesnt work hold down the power button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds. If that doesnt work hold down the power button on the actual vcr unit for 15 seconds. The first method should work for Panasonic's fine.
This will then display your current rf output.
You can then change the output by using the up and down arrows or the channel up and down button on your remote or the vcr unit.
Press menu button to save or the same button you used to bring up the rf opposition eg power button on remote or the unit.
all the best. Top tech

NATIONAL NV-370
Yes, the NV 370 was among the most produced and popular VCR machines by Panasonic.
Ifthere is no color, only 2 reasons i can think of -
1. Check the Colour / B&W switch at t5he rear of the machine. It might accidently be on 'B&W' mode.
2. Clean the video Heads. Dirty Heads also show as B&W picture on this machine.
3. There is a internal circuitry fault (tho' very rare in this machine. If it is a circuit fault, then there is nothing you can do, unless you know Solid state Electronics servicing. And even after that, it may become difficult to service, as spares may not be available. Machine is a 20 year old model.
