If this problem occurs only at this cd/dvd it's a disk problem. If it occurs on various disks try using a cd/dvd cleaner set, a wet one is better. Follow the instructions on the set. The main idea is to put one drip of the included liquid at the set (usually isopropyl alchohol) at a specific place (like small brush) on the disk surface and play this disk. This way the "brush" will clean up the laser lens and after that the cd/dvd player will be able to read the disks. BE CAREFULL not to put too much liquid on the "brush". In case this don't solve your problem, the cd player needs laser lens replacement by a technician.

3. Panasonic might not read this kind of disk.

try just powering up the system without any components or speakers connected and see if it still happens.

I took mine to Radio Shake and they replaced the mechanism for the reader. It was a total of 150.00 but it was worth it. I have to give it to them and they had to send it out to see what was wrong with it. I have used it two years later and it still works good. On occasion when I play about three to five dvds it will stop. After I let it cool down it starts working again. I am selling mine after 8 years of having it because my girl friend bought me a blue-ray theater system for christmas. Other then that it is a great product. if you need anything else let me know. MP3 pro?! Have you tried using a 3rd party writer like roxio and just chose data disc option, or import them into a conversion software even import into itunes (insuring mp3 is your selected format) and write the mp3 files created.

The same happened to me recently, you need to go to your electronic store and purchase a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner, put it in run it problem solved

You can run your sound from the TV or cable box (if those devices have that capability), but NO you can't run video into the SA-dk10. DVD is the only video output.
