How to add a Switch to Power on and Off HT830 . I just want to use this with my home Stereo System. Is there a Jumper to Install to bypass the CN 501 Socket

I would wire in an on/off toggle switch just AFTER the fuse that tends to blow out. Its the fuse discussed it another post here on fixay. Currently you can see it at the following address: http://www.fixya.com/support/t120423-display_front_dvd_player_not_workingThe fuse mentioned is specifically a fast acting .0 amp fuse from Little Fuse Inc PT# 0491.400MAT1 (FUSE, FAST ACT 125V FA 0.40 Amps). I just ordered this fuse from Digikey.com because my display stopped working. Everything else on the stereo still worked, just the display would not come on. So, installing a toggle switch just after the fuse would seem to me to be an easy way to turn the display on and off, and still have the stereo functional.

From Panasonic:

≥Check and correct the speaker cord connections.
If this does not fix the problem, there is a power supply problem. Consult the dealer.
