Computer does not recognize the player

Hi jowik,
Most websites are saying that this is a model Sony no longer supports or sells at the moment. The software required is SonicStage 3.0, same as you're probably using. However, it is more of a problem that the device isn't being recognized at all. Have you tried connecting up to any other computer? If no computer can recognize it (which shouldn't happen, but anyway) then there's something wrong with the player itself. When you connect, check for loose connections, and never use more than one USB extension at once. Many people use an extension of their own plus the one provided by Sony, and they have the same problem that the computer can't recognise the player.

Says it does not have any data

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

L have problem with my mp3. l put some mp3 into

Sounds like firmware, Go to the Sony home page, search support then mp3 then your model, or google your model to find firmware updates, you may have to try a few to get what works for your setup. If you have software for music transfer, try updating or reinstalling.

Format

If you are asking how to format the device-

Connect the device to the pc using the USB cable and format the device by right clicking on the device and selecting "format". You may also format the device if you have the Format option in the Menu. formatting both ways would be good.

USB said can't read the Mp3.. but my Mp3 is still

You can't directly copy and paste the MP3 songs to the player to playback. Its uses ATRAC file format and not MP3. Its a very old player and requires Sonicstage software to transfer the songs. I have mentioned the link to download the software and steps to transfer the songs to the player.

Transferring music to my mp3 player

This player is only compatible with a few audio formats. The DRM protection system on most WMA's simply won't work after a time. If you only transfer songs in mp3 format, you will never have such problems.
