your problem could be in the fact that you are trying to overdrive the amp. sony will not carry a 1 ohm stable load and if your speaker are 4 ohm speakers wired in series then you cant drive the bass your looking for. try using soundstream tarantula amp or new hifonics block mono class d amp with about 1000 watts rms. what kicker subs do you have? that will also make the difference in amp choice. im running tarantula on 4 polk momo 4 ohm 12's and has broke my back glass in my jeep twice one time was for a show. oh well let me know. happy boom boom. i'll be glad to help

Take a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and clean each button thoroughly to remove any residue. There is a eject lever on the device that could be out of place. To fix this some minor repair will be needed. Taking the face plate off using the small button on the lower left hand side will give you access to the reset button. Connect one voice coil to one channel of the amp. Repeat with the other voice coil. Do not bridge the amp as your only choices would be series which would be an 8 ohm final load and cuts the amp power in half or parallel wiring which results in a 2 ohm load and very few Sony amps currently made can handle being bridged to a 2 ohm load.

wire one speaker to left and one to right. Do not be confused by impedance. this will work.
