Sony XM-SD22X Car Audio Amplifier Questions & Answers
The red light turns on?
The red light is usualy an indicator that the amplifier is going into protection. There could be a number of reasons that this might happen. Here are some: 1. the load that the amplifier is trying to drive is not compatible with the amplifiers specifications. 2. the cables leading from the amp to the speakers/sub woofers are shorting somewhere. 3. the amplifier is heating up above its capability. 4. the amplifier is not recieving the apropriate amount of power. Check if any of these are the reason but if you give me more details such as when does the red light go on and what you have connected to it and how, i will be able to better assist you.

How to I make it
If you are looking at the termianl side of the amplifier...you have on the left hand side a plus and minus, this will be the left speaker........the next terminals are the line in from thr radio head unit (RCA), then plus and minus for the right hand speaker. This is the basic setup for a 2ohm , 250W RMS output......please make sure to attach plus and minus to plus an minus on the speaker and not get them mixed around.....you WILL notice the difference
How do i hook up
Some Marshall cabinets do have stereo input jacks. You would need one of them or have to use another cabinet.

I need a solution for my amp
Your XM-SD22X amplifier only has 2 channels.
If you want to run 4 speakers then you could parallel 2 speakers on each channel but you need to check that the impedance is not too low.
If it is too low then put 2 speakers in series on each channel but this will not be as loud.

Sony CDX-M850mp isnt playing any audio from aux or cd input
This issue might be due to a malfunctioning auxiliary input or a problem with the amplifier circuit. You can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the connection between the auxiliary input and the head unit to make sure it's properly plugged in.
- Check the audio cable for any signs of damage or wear.
- Make sure the auxiliary input is selected as the source on the head unit.
- Check the amplifier circuit to see if it's functioning properly. If it's not, the amplifier may need to be repaired or replaced.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, it's recommended to have the unit inspected by a professional audio technician.
