You need to free the stuck switch. As long as it is jammed, it is going to send a signal to the microprocessor. The microprocessor can only handle one command at a time, so while the volume up switch is sending a signal to it, it will do nothing else.

ı have this problm too ,how can we fix this problem and i couldn't find the reset button of cdx-r3300 s- mosfet..in its manual somewhere is defined but in my equipment there doesn't exist a reset button :((( heeeelp...

Mine did the same thing, I just took the face plate off and replaced it a couple times, and magically a couple days later it starts working. It does this to me at least once a month, its very irritating. Apparently its a common problem for this model, and as of yet I haven't found any other way to fix it except just waiting for it to start working again. I've decided to scrap mine and buy another player.
