SONY FD Trinitron Malfunction
Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go. Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

WERE IS THE CRT FILAMENT SUPPLY CAME FROM WHAT STAGE IN THE BOARD
In 90% CRT TV circuit, the filament voltage is taken from one among the winding of EHT transformer. The rest, it is taken from the main power supply regulator [SMPS] board. With Sony brand TVs, it is taken from the EHT winding itself. Refer any circuit manual to Sony, to make it understand. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.
