SONY KV-32FS100 TV DOSENT COME ON ONLY FLASHING
This is the error code for what is termed IK which controls the video to the pic. tube essentially. The most common failure I've seen is the video output i.c. on the crt board also known as the C Board. This is IC702 and is available, the generic number is on the i.c. and can be purchased at a place like mcmelectronics.com . Also someone may have turned up the screen level control located on the flyback transformer. If this is too high the set detects the excess beam current and shuts the set down. If you are not into tackling a problem like this yourself you will need a tech to check it out and give you an estimate. The repair cost would be mostly labor for the diagnosis and part replacement. I don't believe you would be looking at much for parts themselves.

Little red light on front flashes and no picture.
The standby light should be blinking in a repeated pattern. Pleawe count the blinks and report that number here. That count indicates the circuit that is having a problem. Also, please confirm that the set is model number KV-32FS100.
Thanks,
Dan

Where do I fing my model number on my sony
sony is very good about labeling model numbers even on older tvs. Check the back, under the unit, or even on top for a S/N and model number plate. If you can't find it, it is possible it fell off due to old glue on the sticker.

How do I get sub titles off my tv ??
First figure out which device is causing the problem. It can be DVD, VCR, TV etc. Whichever device it is: access menu of that device, scroll down looking for CC, Caption, Closed Caption(or similar) if none of these exist go to audio or video menus and look there for same. Press select and change

Sony Triniton No Power
Sony has a feature called a shut down circuit. If the standby light is blinking at (1-2 ) second intervals, you have a possible power supply drawing excessive current. This TV would require further diagnostic evaluatation . Not a 75 cent fix
Good Luck with it.

Left 3rd of screen is green
A dropped tv will sometimes develop a warped shadow mask. This is the lead shield inside the picture tube. When the crt gun spray electrons on to the mask, they must be able to travel in a correct path. There is no repair for this unless you can replace the tube. This is to costly. Try this.... If you have access to some strong magnets [like those out of microwave ovens] move them to the green side to the back and to the side to see if you can correct the colors. If you have some sucess, you may velcro the magnet or magnets to the side or back. Each time you power off the tv and powerup you will have to pull the magnets off and put them back for correction.

The picture is distorted with diagonal lines
on the back of the sets there are two knobs one over the other one saying screen and one saying focus perhaps or they may just be there if your standing behind the set they would be on the right hand side lower rear area
hello
let me be simple...
If you see them try pushing input button on the remote so you have a blank screen and then turn the screen control slightly till the lines are gone
and then go back to normal signal
I hope this has helped.

If you forget your password, press and hold TV on the remote and the
MENU button on the television simultaneously for 3 seconds. Parental
controls will then unlock and you can re-enter a password via Lock

Quick tip: Make sure you aim the remote at the TVs sensor while you press the TV button, and hold the menu button in on the front of the television.
