Standby light blinks to Sony TVs are fault indications. Six blinks - No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self-diagnosis function immediately. Check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206. This is the fault to your Wega. If you want more details, check this.

It needs degaussed. Turn the TV off for 24 hours and unplug it. Plug it back in and turn it on. If the degaussing coil in the TV hasn't worked buy a cheap degaussing wand off of ebay. 10 second fix. You can also ask the local repair shop to do it. Anything over $5 I would just buy the wand. Keep magnetic objects as well as electronics away from the TV. Vacuum cleaners can also cause this if it's on the floor.

There may be a issue with the tuner on the set but there is a way around that.With a cable box with audio/video out jacks connect to the same kind on the rear of the set---go to that input on the set and should see picture and sound---leave set on that input and change/select channels with the box.

Great set, weighs a ton and expensive to fix--all parts are Sony only--in my view replace it with a LCD etc which will be cheaper---most of these that come to our shop that are fixed average over 200 parts and labor.

The universal remote control codes for Sony Brand Tvs are: 0128 0013 0002 0071 0380If you wish to buy a universal remote control, check whether there is these codes with its code list. The code list will be attached with every universal remote control pack. Make sure there are these codes with it.In my opinion, it will be best to buy its original one. You just check your remote control handset for its infrared emission. There is an infrared light emitting diode [LED], in front of your remote control handset from which infrared light rays are send to your TVs infrared sensor, fitted inside it, behind the infrared window on its front panel. Infrared rays are invisible to human eye. We can check if it is there by using a cellphone with camera option.
Put the cellphone in camera mode, and place your remote control's LED side towards its lens, for about a feet away or so, and when you push its each button, you can see an image in the phones' screen. If it is there, and still your TV don't work with remote control, TVs infrared sensor inside is faulty, and needs replacement.
If there is no infrared image from your remote control, you have to buy one new remote control. OK.

it may not be able to design wise or something is wrong, I think this is the type of problem you let go or live with.

since every display color monitors are only work with 3 primary color which are red, blue and yellow. You could also search it that by mixing these colors, you could get any color your want. Thats how color monitors work. Now in case of green color, it creates by mixing blue and yellow. When you are turning the screen adjustment screw, the red color plug will become lose, makes it appear green. I hope your got the reason.

Unplug,replug the tv an hour later.See what happen.U do this to reset all setting back to factory setting.
