Hdmi port stopped working on sony bravia
I have a Sony Bravia model KDL-46s5100 that had the same problem. All HDMI ports stopped working. I don't know why this works but unplug the TV for about 30 sec, then plug it back in and hold down the power button on the tv for 10 seconds. Like I said I don't know why this works but it worked for me. Good luck.

Sony kdf-55e2000 red light blinks 3 times- tv will not go on
3 blinks is a error code "lamp door not properly closed" but what it really means is the lamp door is warped from heat from the lamp.
The door if removed has a plastic peg on its back side-the peg when door is in place engages a tiny lever behind it----
What to do?
Remove door and engage the lever with something not metal==turn set on and if it comes on you know the door is the issue.
DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE LAMP- DO NOT OPERATE SET PROLONGED TIME WITH DOOR REMOVED OR COVERED WITH ANYTHING ELSE==THIS IS ONLY TO SEE IF THE DOOR AND SWITCH ARE YOUR PROBLEM.

Sony tv xbr-65x930d has no picture at all
Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site either in Web View, on a mobile; or by a desktop PC. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

When i turn my sony trinitron off it wont come back on and the standby light blinks. How do i get the picture to come back on?
Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times.
