PROBLEMS WITH VERTICAL ROLL
That is not a vertical roll from side to side, this is a horizontal rolling. if the vertical had a roll it would be going from top to bottom. This is most likely a coupling between the horizontal sync circuit and the sync separator circuit. Good Luck

Multiple problems, hoping for one solution

If it doesnt solve your problem, the fact that you are getting different quality from different crt s suggests that they could be the root cause - see if you can get the part number, and get a price you may find it is cheap enough to be worth trying - check also the power supply - poor voltage output can sometimes cause these type of symptoms.

While the root of the problem is likely the picture tubes aging, I'm sure it would benefit from a cleaning and adjusting. After the dust is cleaned from the lenses, the screen controls could likely be lowered to get the blacks you desire. An experienced tech would be able to do this for you.

take the back off
oh unplug it first
and then read the label that says no user serviceable parts inside
its kinda like the tag on pillows
the three delta lenses can be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with windex
they are an optical grade of plastic like the screen
so all those caveats apply
if you are really brave you can take the lense assemblies off and clean (gently the concave) portion of the top of the crts
they are filled with coolant and should be treated with care
if you are really brave use windex on the plate glass mirror
if you are nice to your tv it will look real good when you get done
it will look even better if you know how to refocus the focus block and the screen controls
all the home theater dvds wont make up for zen and the art of projo maintenance

TV won't show any picture or color
1St. need to konw how many times the light bilks, it sould bilk a # of times then a short pause then repeat the # of bilnks again & again. The number of blinks is a an error code to help locate the cause of a fault. it is not allways accurate, but it's usually right. give the # of bliks & i will try to get you into the right circuit.
