all three guns red blue and green should be replaced and the flote.
cost could be from $400 to 680 in parts depending on wer you buy them. I would but the parts my self then pay the repairmen to do the install this way you dont get priced up to high in parts cost.

You will need to have all three CRT's replaced. This was a common issue with this year of Sony projection TV's

you have to go into the menue, and go under video settings, under advanced, then into convergence, when you get the white lines all over the screen, follow the directions and adjust the red so it lines back up, other wise , take the front bottom panel off the tv, look for the 6 little nobs, look at the ones on the left, they should agjust the red, thrn the top one untill the red is focused back in.

Hello it is the bulb the bulb's on the Rear projection tv are ****. Buy  new tv cause it costs alot to have these tv fixed.

your convergence IC;s are out, they cost about $40, if you know how to solder, you can do it your self, if not , I would try to find somone that can, service centers charge about 4 or 5 hundred, after you get the new ones, there easy to find on the board in the back of the tv

It wont be worth it, when you change 1, it is strongly sugested you replace all 3, and they cost around 200$ a piece, but just so you know, they cant leak, unless you break the glass at the top

it is behind the front bottom panel, will see 6 little nobs, 2 for blue-2 red-2 green

if you take the front cover off the tv, you will see 6 little nobe, the top 3 are focus, bottom 3 are brightness, should be RED-BLUE-GREEN in order from left to right, find the one that is blue, turn it down a quarter turn, should fix the problem

It is your convergence IC's going out, they cost about 40 $ for both, if you know someone that can solder, i would have them do it, once you see the new parts it is prity easy to find them on the board in your tv, repair shops usually charge 4 to 5 hundred

Yyou can clean screen's internal side by takeing off back cover of tv. Belo is picture how to open back cover.

this is the little black box made from epoxy molded is about 3 inch by 3 inch behind the front grille you will have to remove the cover in the front once the grille is off it is 1 of the first things you will see. if you look close the controls are marked with r,g,b. you want the screen control it should be the 1 lowest on the box 3 in a row r for red g for green etc.

again a connection problem or a converge chip problem if the problem pops in and out by itself then it's a connection if not the stk's would take care of that. be sure to always check the limiting resistors for a higher than normal resistance that doesn't agree with the marked resistance usually 1 ohm or around that.

this could be caused by the loss of the power to the converge circuit or the failure of the converge chips-stk-xxx-xxx if the problem pops in and out it's a connection problem.

you either need to reconverge the unit (auto focus) or you need to replace the converge chips-stk-xxx-xxx don't adjust anything.

Step by step procedure available in service literature...
Or try to get a local tech to help....

did you check the voltage for the convergence chip? if the chip was out, there is a posibility that the fuse has burned.

The stk392-560 is convergence correction amplifier, the 4.7ohms 1/2watt resistor is the attach in convergence board! but before you replace this parts you need to check if good or bad parts!
