Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Blinks red 3x why ?
you have a lamp or lamp door switch that is failing. The only way to fix it is to replace the switch that is bad. The price range to have this repaired normally runs between $200-300. The range is so wide because if the lamp door switch is bad then it is a lot easier to change, if the lamp switch is bad (which it normally is) it is mounted on the light engine and almost the entire tv has to be disassembled to change it.

Blinking green light
Try cleaning both fans and inspect the lamp. Usually quite obvious if the lamp is bad (ie. blown tube/shattered glass) Make sure you secure the lamp door properly after.
Very low sound
Check your sound setting under the TV menu. Most newer TVs only have two 10watt speakers...so maybe a quality sound system!
Blinking green light
Any red lights? If not, most likely a bulb. Open lamp door and inspect bulb. Change if necessary. It is not always obvious the bulb is bad, a weak bulb can cause the same issue.
