Not logging into the router could be due to the IP address to log into it change after resetting the router. As for the wifi not working make sue that the deices are using the correct security settings. Remember older devices are not compatible with WPA and uses WEP.

you will have to press and hold the reset for up to 30 seconds with the power on. sorry if you have tried this but it should work. if it doesnt then there is usually a restore factory setting button somewhere in the setup utility i thing with us robotics you access it by type either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 into your internet browser. ok hope that helps. let me know how you go.

Hello,

The reason you get this error is the name used for this current network was previously saved with settings when used before. All you have to do is,delete this network from the preferred network list from your compute and re-connect your computer to the network and you will not receive this error message again.

Hope this helped. For further assistance please feel free to contact us.

My USR8054 has a default ip of 192.168.123.254, not 192.168.1.1. Also, the login default is admin with no password.

Try that.

Reset the router back to factory default, If you don't have the user guide get one here.

U.S. Robotics... | Answered on Jan 05, 2011

press and hold the factory default reset button for a few seconds.. you will probably lose all your settings.. back to factory default, but if you cannot access router this is probably the way to go. your default password should be (no password) and the default user should be "admin"

You wouldn't. When you set up the router originally, you set up the key/passphrase.
If you don't have the key/passphrase any longer, you'll have to perform a factory reset and re-configure the router all over again.

Try to reset your modem and router by unplugging them from the back, the adapters. Plug the modem back in first and then the router. They will take a minute to come back up then try to connect again. If this doesnt work try the following. Go to start and type in cmd in the search bar. It will bring up a black box with a C: in this space type in the following.. ipconfig /release it will go through a short process and bring you back to the C: again. Next type in ipconfig /renew this will renew your ip address. Type exit and see if you are getting your signal. Between the 2 of thses things, one or both of them should get you back connected. Hope this helps!
feel free to leave a rating if this helped you out, thx!

You can set WEP security in router so only those can connect who know the WEP password. You can set WEP password in router with below method. Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. Then click on wireless->wireless security then enable WEP security enter password it is your password to connect wifi then save settings and restart router then you can connect with that password .. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa
