Sony CDP-CE375 5-Disc CD Changer - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Sony 5 cd changer disc exchange system With usb port
All this digital stuff can be more confusing for the user than standard tape systems. You may need to put files on the flash drive that are compatible with the CD changer for the files to be imported. Check the internet about this problem with the model unit you have and I bet you are not the only one having this problem. The flash drive may need to be having cda file son it or maybe something else.
How to change fm channels
The Sony CDP-CE375 is a CD player, not a radio. It doesn't have any FM channels. If you're asking about some other device, please specify the make and model.

Static problem
You can try a laser cleaning kit to see if that will help, generally when the laser gets to that point it is time to replace the laser pickup assembly or just replace the whole unit due to cost over runs in repair.
Skipping disc
Hello
Skipping of all types of discs, whethere it is old or new, is due the Laser Pickup Unit problem and is common to all CD playeres whatever brand it may be. Your Sony has also this proble. There is no other way than replace the Laser Pickup Unit with same type and number. Insist on same type and number, since Sony uses special number and type. OK.
I'm having two problems with this unit , a SONY
Granted, they don't actually SAY you should carefully place the discs into the detents designed for them on page 7, but that is the expectation.

As for audio hum,
Buzzing is usally AC line noise leaking into an un-shielded cable somewhere or a floating ground. If the AC plug is reversible, try that. Sometimes the buzz is from an attached device. Make sure all audio cables are plugged in tightly at each end and routed away from or at right angles to any power cords and away from other sources of strong magnetic fields like TV's. I've also seen variable track lights induce noise but it's usually minor.
Consider the presence of light dimmers, too. Mine induce buzz when the lights are on.
Disks skip and do not play
try putting a laser disc cleaner through the player it will clean the lazer allowing it to read correctly
best of luck

I can't playback the cd's
try other Cd's that you have burned or the CD's that you have bought from music store. If they can play, then check that CD if it can play thru pc. Or if they cannot play on the player, try to restart the CD player... If nothing happens, there might be a problem with the CD lens itself.... Then call the attention of Sony to repair it...
Another scenario is that if in case the burn CD plays in the PC but not in the player, and you have tried other CD's that are working, there might be a problem with the CD format...not all burned CD's can play ot thru... Make sure the format is on MPEG (if it is music) or (VCD/DVD if it is Video). make sure your Sony supports these formats so that it will be no hassle on your part...
