RTs00c00e00 ERROR MESSAGE, WILL NOT PLAY TURN OFF
I just turned on my Sony MDS-JE520 and got the same error message RTs00c00e00. Didn't wanted to play MD, but did throw out the MD. After turning it on and off still got the same message. When I took the remote and pressed the key display, it came back to the normal "mode". Everything works again, so hopefully it stays with only this one-time incident.
Hope it will help you guys also.
Regards, Danny
Din Unlock - Unable to record
You must have the unit switched to "DIGITAL" input - switch it to "ANALOG" and record that way. The "DIN UNLOCK" is when you have the lack of a proper digital signal, or a digital signal with copy protection, like you cannot make a digital copy of a digital Minidisc, etc...Does that make sense? Let me know if the "Analog" setting works for you. Good luck.
Toc error c14
Deck cannot read the disc for some reason try another disc.
Display not showing
Probably worn out display. The 300s are old machines and wearing out. Get a later deck which still has some life left in it. Few can repair MDs and the cost is often high and parts hard to find so go for a later model. Not to mention the 300's were economy (cheap) decks.
Toc error c14
Player cannot read the table of contents on your disc for some reason.
How do u use program mode
Best answer is to go to minidisc.org and download the manual for the 330. It should be there and free...
Stuck in standby
You probably need to press play or record or pause release in addition to what you have been doing. When I try to record I sometimes then have to press record or the pause again as it is in a holding setting to help you set the sound level before recording.
If it is not this fix the deck probably has mechanical problems due to age. I have had Sony decks which worked fine sit in storage for a time then never work again - I don't know why either.
Will it play lp
The 330 was a basic unit, I don't think it will play anything recorded in the extended MD recording format. Newer and ES decks do, but check to make certain before buying one.
Power switch
The red standby light is always on. It should only change when you press 'power'. When you turn it off, it is on 'standby', meaning you can switch the switch to make it start-up in play or record mode by using a timer and the switch below the power switch. This is normal for Sony.
Hi iown a sony- mds je 330, how can i transfer from md to computer?
Sony has a free program called Sonic Solutions. It stinks to high hell. But it is free.I strongly suggest you either play the MDs into your computer via the LINE IN, or buy a Behringer UCA202 USB Audio Interface from Amazon for $30 and input the audio digitally via the USB.That's how I do it.
No output to rear jacks
It's hard to do this long distance, but I have a feeling the problem is with your disc or your laser, not your connections. A distant third possibility is the deck's transport.First, plug the deck into an amp, and make sure you have connected it to the right place. (It is very easy to get tripped up by tape inputs and tape monitors.) I suspect that you accidentally erased the disc. So let's check. Play an MD that you are SURE has something on it and see if anything at all is coming through the amp and speakers. Be sure to look at the display to see if the disc is actually playing a track. Then try recording something on the disc you have. Be sure to enable the disc to record. The little white tab on the bottom left has to be closed. If it is open the disc will not record. Make sure it is all the way closed, too. Do this by opening it and then closing it with a thumbnail or small screwdriver. When you record, see if the record meter shows that something is actually going into your deck. You should also see if the metal protective tab is still there (front right center), and try to jiggle it to see that it is not stuck. Don't force it - just jiggle it. Memorex discs are famous for having that part fail. That part has to slide down for your disc to play or record. This will make a lot more sense if you take the lid off your deck and watch the mechanism work.1) Be sure there is something on your disc. 2) With the lid off see if the disc is actually turning.3) Look at the display to see if it tells you that the disc is playing.4) In case you erased your disc, try recording something on it or on a different disc). Check the display as it does so, and look at the transport to see if anything is turning. If nothing is turning or moving, it MAY be dirt or it may be grease where grease shouldn't be or no grease where grease should be. That is unlikely, but check it out. What do you have to lose?If everything is moving but nothing records and nothing plays back, your laser is dead. And they are not cheap. Fortunately, there are a gazillion MD decks on eBay. When all else fails, read the operating instructions - http://www.minidisc.org/sony_mdsje330_manual.pdf

hi,
First of all you have to check Laser pickup unit of the player. If the laser pick up unit is faulty then this problem can occur. Another possibilty is the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) IC (IC means integrated circuits) if so you have to contact the sony authorise servicing center.Because the DSP ICs will not be available out side. First of all check the laser pick up. You can find the laser pick up inside the MD mechanisum. It will look like one in the picture. Its part number is KMS 260A. If there is any dust on its lence then clean it and try. If again the problem shows the you have to check by replacing the laser pick up.
ok
