It cannot read your disc for some reason... Bad disc, recorded in an extended format by a higher level machine are possibilities...
SONY RMD10E Remote Control
I looked a bunch of places for you and could find any.
You might try another sony MD remote as their dirty little secret is many of the codes are similar. So another sony MD remote may give you most of the functions you need.
I found a rare MD remote I needed but was unwilling to pay $60USD for at a local resale shop for 99 cents so it can't hurt to try there or any electronics or tech junk shows you might happen on nearby.
Good Luck

The deck cannot read what is on the disc - probable causes are dirty head in deck, dirty disc, worn out head on an old unit. I'd check the disc looking for dust or scratches from a crash with the head, if messed up try another one. Try dusting off the head with a blast of compressed air or a q tip but be very careful they are delicate.
It may be the deck is worn out, many of these decks are very old...
When i press the record button , i get Dinunlock c71
The source you are recording from cannot be read from; you slected a source without a connection, you have a digital source which has copy guard to prevent recording from it...
Check your input selector setting and your cables and the cables on the component you are trying to record from.
If optical in rare instances you are trying to record 5.1 or 7.1 encoded sound to older stereo on the deck - you can do this with an optical decoder box available on ebay without it all is connected correctly but it won't work.

Deck cannot read disc for some reason - try another disc.

I checked the manual and it says if you are recording the disc is dirty and cannot be read, if you are trying to play a disc the same may be true and to try and reinsert the disc.I've only had 2 bad minidiscs out of hundreds of them, it is possible an old one has damage or dirt. It may also be the complex play and recording heads are worn out or damaged. If you have dropped the unit the heads may be messed up. Most people don't understand MD's are read write and can be used many times. On the other head they record with a magnetic skate riding one side of the disc in the cartridge while a laser is firing at high power on the other side to record. They do not work like a CD recorder. One will find many old MD decks with bad heads which will still play recorded discs but cannot record and save to a disc. To figure out if one is working try to record and save, after doing so eject and reinsert the MD if it is blank the recording head is shot regardless of what the unit says. Most MD decks unless you have the upper end $1,500 ones most people have never seen are not worth the expense of repairing due to head cost and limited numbers of qualified people to do the work. In those cases it is better to just find another which works.
