The easiest way to get local frequencies is to go to a search engine such as google, and type in "radio frequencies" and your town, city or county name and state. You'll find a few lists to copy freq's from. Simply enter and away you go!

to get your local frequencies just go to radioreference.com and click database,then click your state, then your county, and a list will come up.
Won't receive/scan
If the correct frequencies are displayed when in manual mode, the problem lies within the frequency synthesizer circuit. It may be possible to repair economically if you can locate someone experienced with this equipment (I repair these but am not permitted to commercialize here, but you can email me at

Programming the BC244CLT
Hi, If I'm reading correctly, that scanner is listed as a 30 channel scanner only. You can pick freq's from 10 different bands. Here's just some of the features listed, hope this answered your question.
