Your can RESET your scanner to erase all data that you've programmed into it and return it to its original factory settings.To do this:
1. Power the scanner OFF.
2. While holding in the 2, 9, and HOLD keys, power the scanner ON. The process takes about 3 seconds, and the word CLEAr will display.

For single channels, you can program "000.0000" into any one of them to clear its programmed data, or just program a new frequency into the channel. The new data will override the old information.

Need the factory operating manual for your scanner? You can download and print it, free of charge, here:

++++a unlocking code for all

There is no such thing as a magic "unlocking code" on modern scanners - you're limited to the frequency ranges listed in the operating manual. If you want wider coverage you'll need to purchase a scanner that provides it.

Are you sure that the frequencies you programmed are active in your area? Try a weather band search (press Func and Svc) to verify that the scanner is working properly. If you receive one or more NOAA weather broadcast channels then you need to visit www.RadioReference.com and check their database for active freqs in your area. If you cannot receive weather then you have an antenna or receiver problem.
