I have lost the download disc for my camera and

You don't need any special software. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa. Organize edit and share your photos

I wanted a new memory card for my camera - this

If your camera is truly the Finepix A120, it uses xd picture cards, not SDHC cards.

Always shows not initiated on

Either the camera is having a battery problem, or a lens issue:
Here are a couple sites that explain what you can do to try to correct this:
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/11/simple-fix-for-dead-cameras-that-wont.html
and:
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
Even though the article is entitled "lens error", it also applies to stuck lens issues.
Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.

Memory card won't work

Try this site for a firmware update. You need to get a AC power adapter for it to work though. It is from Fuji and it worked fine for my A120. The older XD cards are of a different format then the newer ones so if your new XD card has an 'M' on it you will need to do the firmware solution.
Good luck

Uploading the picture card.

if you have XP or Vista, just go to "My Computer" and you will see your card as another removable memory/media, double click on it and you'll see the folders for your card.

good luck

Read error

Please read all of post first!
try reformating thd sd card BUT remember everything on the card will be lost. I'v had that happen when I moved my card to another piece of equipment and then back again.
IF there ARE pictures on the card then try another card reader to pull them off before formating the card.
some copyers, scanners, even some pc's have readers in them, or maybe a freind.
hope that helps :)

Black Screen With Green Strip That Says DSC And The And USB Symbole And The Word USB

Try looking at http://www.fujifilm.ca/x3719.xml for firmware or software updates as well as new drivers for your camera. If you are using an upgraded XD card try putting the original back in.
Then follow the directions for doing the updates to use your new card. If all else fails time for a new camera.
Good luck and have a great summer.

Drivers

Try using the Fuji site for downloading the drivers for your computer. If you are trying to upgrade your XD card to an M type you will have to also down load the FIRMWARE for it as well.
http://www.fujifilm.ca/x3719.xml
On the left side of the screen are selections for the drivers and firmware updates.
Have fun and good luck.

My camera wont turn on

Yep you need to get an AC adapter. Can get a multiple voltage one at electronics store cheaply enough. Cheaper than getting an actual Fuji one that is for sure..
Then try to download the firmware for it from Fuji and that should do the trick... If not like you said time to get a new one.
Good luck.

Xd picture card

You will need to do a firmware update to be able to use your new 'M' XD card. Also you will need a AC adapter to be able to use the update for your camera.
It is a Fuji site and it works.
Good luck.

PIctures

A good photo shop type program will let you turn colour into black and white pictures easily. Paint shop pro has been a standard and favorite of mine since it came out. Lots of editing functions and lots of interesting extras to play with.
I believe the latest version is PSP12
good luck and happy editing
