My date/time is set and on camera can see it. I moved pictures to my computer and it is not stamped on picture, how can I get it to be on picture?

Almost all digital cameras store the date and time (and a lot more) with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Most cameras also will not deface your pictures by scrawling a string of digits across them. If you want the date printed with your picture, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. Depending on the program and printer, you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.If you need further assistance, please reply to this post and specify the make and model of your camera and, if you want the date printed, specify the program(s) and computer operating system.

Camera will not take photos and lens wont move

The lens housing is jammed, often caused by dirt or other dust particles. Sometimes the gears will ware out through constant use. Since the cost to repair would be high. There is a risk situation you can try, "at your own risk" take the palm of your hand and sharply hit around the outer housing of the lens and pressing power as you do so in an attempt to free up the mechanism if luck is with you the lens will move.

When on the internet, my computer frequently freezes, resulting in me having to turn it off at the box (which I can't think is very good for it).

This would most likely be caused by spyware. The easiest way to fix it is to re-install Windows. If you do not want to re-install, or you have data that you cannot afford to loose you can use a spyware scanner to find it and remove it. Spybot and ad-aware always seemed to work for me in the past.

Battery drain when camera is off

What camera is it? Some of the older ones just do that. I had one where I just took out the batteries when I wasn't using it and then had to reset the date every time. What a pain but it saved the batteries till I bought a new one.

Sensitive Command Dial on Selector Button.- S9800 Finepix - any ideas what's wrong?

If the command dial on your Fuji Finepix S9800 camera is overly sensitive, making it difficult to select items on the menu or adjust settings, there are a few steps you can try to address the issue:
  1. Clean the dial: Sometimes, dirt or debris can accumulate around the command dial, affecting its sensitivity. Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a small brush to gently clean the area around the dial, removing any particles that may be causing the sensitivity issue.
  2. Adjust the sensitivity settings: Check the camera's menu or settings to see if there are any options to adjust the sensitivity of the command dial. Look for settings related to "dial sensitivity" or "control dial response" and experiment with different levels to find the one that suits your preferences.
  3. Reset the camera settings: If the sensitivity issue persists, you can try resetting the camera settings to their default values. Look for the "Reset" or "Factory Reset" option in the camera's menu and choose the appropriate setting. This will restore the original settings and may help resolve any software-related issues.
  4. Contact customer support: If none of the above steps resolve the sensitivity problem with the command dial, it may be worth contacting Fuji customer support for further assistance. They can provide specific troubleshooting steps or advise you on whether the camera needs to be inspected or repaired by a professional technician.
It's important to handle the camera with care while attempting any adjustments or cleaning. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with the process, it's recommended to seek professional help or take the camera to an authorized service center to avoid any potential damage.

I have a Fuji finepix Z85 camera, does anyone know the capacity of the internal memory? How much can it take without a memory card?

Hi, Please look on the front cover of the camera's box or it's manual for a number followed by MB or GB and that number should be the answer to your question. And please double check (in the manual) that the camera does have a memory separate from any default sd card that comes with the camera. Thank you.

Camera fault

Check batteries and the terminals that connect to your batteries. Often the contacts get corroded because batteries have acid in them.

I put a micro memory card into it's adapter and inserted it into my Fuji Finepix S700. Now I can't remove it.

It sounds like maybe one of the pins are broke, I wold try flashlight and magnifying glass to inspect it, If you find one of the mettle contacts on the card is broke it is probably ok to just pull it out firmly it will break the card contacts but I doubt it will harm you camera ~T?M~

The battery door is stuck on my fuji finepix S. How do I open it?

Check the basics first. Some of these suggestions may sound silly but I have done stuff like this. Have you got something screwed to the tripod mount? This can overlap the door and stop it opening. Have you dropped or bashed the camera recently? Are you moving the door slide release in the correct direction? Check there is no damage visible on the camera or if there's anything trapped round the edge of the door jamming it? Using a gentle but firm pressure with you thumb, press the door down into the 'closed' position. (I find sitting with the camera in my lap works best for this). Then use the slide release on the door. Release the pressure to see if the door has opened. You might need to roll your thumb round in flat circles to feel if the door is tight or slack when closed. If this doesn't work or you have found some damage I would recommend you take it to a camera specialist as they will have the correct tools and skills to sort it out.
