Fuji FinePix A200 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
I recently had my computer cleaned and the C Drive
Consider NOT using a driver.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
Just got a Fuji Finepix
Ghosting, spots, a series of circular colored hazy anomalies are called lens flair. It happens when a point of strong light source crosses the lens at an angle. Your pictures may have been in a room with a table light to one side or even an over head light. It will happen outdoors when you are shooting into the sun or an angle to the sun. Shooting a lighted Christmas tree will cause numerous possibilities of lens flair. The only fix is to shade the lens either with a lens hood your hand or in my case i sometimes use my hat. Pro cameras and their users fight with this problem on many occasions so it's not because you have an automatic camera.

Based on A2 vs. S7000....
I have an S7000 and I love the camera.
Still, there are other grear buys today in the stores.
Prices are falling down for some great cams.
One of these cameras is the KM A200 that is at a reachable price category for me.
I am thinkink about changing my S7000 to an A200 and would like to ask your opinion of this idea.
I know all the physical data and specs and the A200 simply meet my needs.
There are some things that the specs sheets don't reveal:
- General operation - how responsive in use?
- Low light / indoor AF
- Flash recharge time (shot to shot speed with flash)
The advantages I see for the A200 are (compared to my S7000):
- Wider angle lens (28mm)
- Flip-out and twist LCD
- Cleaner low ISO performance, usable ISO800 at full CCD resolution
- 8mp for cropping
- Larger sensor, less noise
- 800x600 video (though 15fps)
- Manual zoom ring
- More manual settings, user memories on mode dial
And these are the pros for the S7000 (compared to the A200):
- Better shot-to-shot speed based on test numbers
- Better battery life
- Faster lens at tele
- More flash power
- Accepts 3rd party external flashes
- Less barrel distortion at wide angle
That's it.
Waiting to hear what you say.
If there is any of you used (or tried) both cameras, pls share your experiences with me.
Focus error finepix hs10
About the HS10 autofocus problem, I discovered the cause and solution. It is a problem of camera design, and is caused by three screws securing the CCD sensor. These screws are not properly secured and the vibration eventually dropping.
In two cameras with the same defect, the screws were loose. These screws adjust the sensor position relative to the lens and the sensor is loose when out of position not allowing proper focus.
The solution is to disassemble the camera and secure the screws.
These screws can not be too tight they need to be adjusted to position the CCD sensor correctly. The camera is difficult to dismantle because several wires are soldered.
Care must be taken to discharge the capacitor of the flash, this may cause an electric shock and burn the camera board.
Those who want to try the repair, follow the link to the service manual.

I have a FinePix S1 and the display screen is not working. All other modes are working but no display
Many occasions LCD on camera display never fails but back light fails unless physical damage to LCD screen. Hold a torch to display when camera is on you will see faint(black and white) image means LCD is ok but back light is failed, it's replaceable but needs little skill to replace. Or replace full Screen with backlight. This is easy. Just remove back cover, remove display by loosening flex lock, put back new display carefully lock it holding flex with one finger. Please do not touch display flex contacts.
