Fuji FinePix A310 Digital Camera - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Pink stripey lines on photos when printed and in view mode
If it has to be resolved before the weekend, you are likely going to have to purchase a camera. I doubt you could get it repaired that fast. It sounds to me like the circuitry that records the image initially is going bad since it is doing it so frequently. If it was happening all the time, then a tech would have a better time diagnosing it but since it is intermittent a tech may not see anything wrong when you brought it in to them.
Sorry there's no easy fix for this one, but there are good cameras for very little money. The Kodak Easy Share cameras or the Nikon Coolpix are good low-end cameras with quite a lot of features for the money. I would recommend going to a site such as consumer reports and getting their ratings for cameras so you can find one that does what you want and is close to your budget.
Good Luck!
FUJIFILM A 310
Hi
I had same thing. I took camera to bits and still didn't work. Then one day just before throwing it in the bin with batteries in and lens extended, I grabbed the outer ring (bigger part of lens near the body) and pulled it out a little further. I think there was a slight click then the red light turned green and everything was back to normal. Maybe I was lucky, but its worth a try because it definitely worked for me. Cheers John

Dose the video out look the same as if it does then you have a faulty ccd processor or lcd itself is bad. It may be time for a new camera.
Button don't work
One of the buttons is constant presset in.
Under the button is a metal membrame, sometimes it happens by to mutch force the membrame is defect, it doesn't popup again.
Try to find out witch button doesn feal good anymore, can you work without it ?(for example left macro), open camera and remove membrame.
LKet it repait by fuiji ? a least € 100,-.more than new....
Dropped my camera
Take for repair - The cost will be about half the price of a new camera assuming that parts can be found.
Get the new camera.
Lost software
Simply buy an exexpensive Xd card reader. Insert your memory card in it; then, insert the reader into one of your PC's USB ports. Easy as can be without draining your camera's batteries.
A310 shows USB icon on powerup
Nothing for you two and at this age the cost a repair will be well on the way to the price of a replacement.
Get the new camera
Saltwater?
Sorry, but no.
Your only hope when you get seawater into live electronics is to get the battery out at once and flood the whole thing repeatedly with fresh water within minutes - before a long, slow, drying out process.
The problem is not just that stagnant seawater is notoriously corrosive on its own, but that electrolytic corrosion will devour anything that's connected to the positive terminal of the battery in no time at all. At the very least, I think you'll have written off your battery, the battery contacts and your on/off switch.
Any data on your memory card might be recoverable though.

Fuji A310 - Out of focus
hello.
i think that pictures are blurry. Is it true ?, if so please check the front lens element. I suppose that you clean it regularly with cotton or any soft clothe. Actually all the lens elements are hi-brid when you clean the element with clothe so many times, there will be scratches on the element. that's why i think you get the blurry picture. Just check out the lens and if so you have to change the element or lens assy.
so go to fuji shop.
good luck..
Can't use chargeable batteries
If your camera doesn't work with NiMH, then it's most likely that you have either one or more bad atteries, or your camera is defective.
p. 6 from the user guide:
"..Ni-MH batteries left unused in storage for long periods can become ?deactivated?. Also, repeatedly charging Ni-MH batteries that are only partially discharged can cause them to suffer from the ?memory effect?. Ni-MH batteries that are ?deactivated? or affected by ?memory? suffer from the problem of only
providing power for a short time after being charged. To prevent this problem, discharge and recharge them several times using the camera?s ?Discharging rechargeable batteries? function. By
repeating this cycle several times, the temporary reduction in performance caused by ?memory? or ?deactivation? can be remedied and the batteries can be restored to their original performance
levels.

Sorry i cant help you more..
Focus error finepix hs10
About the HS10 autofocus problem, I discovered the cause and solution. It is a problem of camera design, and is caused by three screws securing the CCD sensor. These screws are not properly secured and the vibration eventually dropping.
In two cameras with the same defect, the screws were loose. These screws adjust the sensor position relative to the lens and the sensor is loose when out of position not allowing proper focus.
The solution is to disassemble the camera and secure the screws.
These screws can not be too tight they need to be adjusted to position the CCD sensor correctly. The camera is difficult to dismantle because several wires are soldered.
Care must be taken to discharge the capacitor of the flash, this may cause an electric shock and burn the camera board.
Those who want to try the repair, follow the link to the service manual.

I have a FinePix S1 and the display screen is not working. All other modes are working but no display
Many occasions LCD on camera display never fails but back light fails unless physical damage to LCD screen. Hold a torch to display when camera is on you will see faint(black and white) image means LCD is ok but back light is failed, it's replaceable but needs little skill to replace. Or replace full Screen with backlight. This is easy. Just remove back cover, remove display by loosening flex lock, put back new display carefully lock it holding flex with one finger. Please do not touch display flex contacts.
