If you mean while you're trying to take a picture, one configuration option for the F700 is to turn off the LCD when taking pictures and use the view finder-- this saves battery power. If you press the DISP button to the right of the LCD should turn on.

Check that the memory card is not full, in case you will need to delete pictures.
Take off and put back batteries and memory card

It could be your CCD unit is having a problem. You should take it into a camers shop and have them at it.

sounds like a problem they recalled the model for - contact Fuji

Your camera is broken. The CCD chip in the camera doesn't work anymore, so the only solution is to buy a new camera. Sorry...

I had the exact same problem in September 2007 (must be built in obsolence). I sent mine to Fuji's repair center to get repaired. Unfortunately, it becomes a decision of whether to get it repaired or buy a new one (repair cost ~$160). The kicker is now the flash will not work. I get a message/warning of camera shake. The manual says it's something to do with the shutter speed but no mention on how to correct it. So it becomes another decision of do I throw more money at it (send back for repair) or bite the bullet and buy a new camera.

CCD failed, contact fuji, they got product recall for some camera models with faulty CCD.

If your camera got the symptoms please package the camera carefully using ample padded material to prevent damage in transit. Include your name, address and phone number with the shipment as well as a general description of the problem. Keep a record of the camera's serial number and shipment tracking number. Ship your camera to the Fuji Service Center.

Its a Tri-Wing bit. Just google "security bit" and you'll find hundreds of vendors.

I have a Fuji F700 and when I try to take a picture I only get a balck screen. I can't see picture in preview, either anyoine know where I can get this fixed?

Hi Brian, I assume you have moved the jog wheel to preview mode, failing this you may have a faulty unit, I would just bring it back and get a replacement. cheers, and good luck !

This is a mainboard problem If under warranty - send it back If not - check Fuji Website tech help

Have you shot these images into the light?
Try some more shots in varying light conditions including flash
Come back with results

Connecting to a Computer will not affest the camera operation.
Some other cause then.
Battery- is it fully charged or fresh?

From the symptom it indicate that the lens module is faulty,you need to replace the lens module. most of the digital camera the lens module is very costly.

hello suresh, i think there si some problem with 'f', i suppose it not works to check it out try to change 'f' and take some picture with different 'f' then chk the result if they differs, it means 'f' is working. If problem still remain as it is, it is serious... then we can doubt on ccd. it both the way you have to take your camera to fuji shop. ohhh yes as you said you bought the camera in january this year, I hope you have warranty, if so do take it to Fuji shop only. good luck...
