Sounds like you've got one hell of a problem, honestly. I would first contact webroot's support team and see if they're willing to do a good faith exchange for you. if not, then you'll have to take it back to the retailer you bought it at, and pray to god they'll issue an exchange for you (most software isn't returnable at all due to copyright provisions that are in place to keep hackers, and keygen developers out.

You do not list the program you are trying to uninstall. If it is Norton or McAfee ignore the rest of this post and list the program you are wanting to remove. If not then you must first stop your old program from running before attempting to uninstall it. You can do this in Task Manager. Right click an empty space in your task bar at the bottom of the screen. Click Task Manager. Look in the processes tab and locate the program you are referring to. Then click Stop Process and proceed to remove it. If that does not work click Start >> Run and type in msconfig then hit run. Find the program in the Startup tab. Disable the program from running at Startup. Now Restart your computer then uninstall the program.

This sounds like a virus to me? you say you are receiving that message, please, is it Windows "Telling" you?, or some program "Telling" you? please clarify? svchost, is not something that should be deleting anything...Both TCIP & netbt are VERY important part of Windows, so I do NOT think, it should be allowed.

You will need your Windows CD to repair this error. Boot from your Windows CD and select "repair" from your installation options.

Sounds like the update file for the program is corrupt. You may need to uninstall webroot and reinstall it. That would fix the corrupt files and should enable you to update the program normally.

Most likely you need to adjust the timeout for the send settings to about 300 seconds, (Default is usually 60 seconds) and that should resolve. You need to contact webroot to get this kind of stuff. It's their program and it might not be compatible with Win 7 64-bit.

Click on Start -> Settings -> Control panel -> Open Windows Firewall -> now turn it off.

I suggest you contact Webroot support supplying your registration. Although it is often difficult to entirely remove Webroot without using special tools from the Webroot site, I am uncertain what might remain of the prior installation and indeed any installation file and installation key. I would have at my disposal and email confirmation you received when installing the product. Use your email search capability. I take it you currently are without antiviral protection and suggest you limit your use until you get your installation back. Of course, you could install something else until then but then that would have to be disabled and removed before you reinstalled Webroot. You might opt to call them on the phone. Why on Earth would you try Fixya support rather than Webroot's support for this query, I am beyond imagining --unless they stiffed you! But if you installed it once, why wouldn't you use that installation method again? There probably is someway Webroot knows how many licenses you are employing during such an installation but I don't know for certain. At any rate as this quirey was made in 2017, I suspect you have come to some accommodation by now. In short, there is nothing Fixya can do about a Webroot licensing issue. Contact Webroot support.

If you have a webroot subscription, log into the portal on your new device and install the agent. Webroot will not carry over from one device to another. Also, if the old device is no longer being used, you can remove that device from the portal. If you need step by step let me know.

Webroot is an antivirus program that you have to purchase. To check and see if it is present, click on the search bar and type webroot or type programs and features and see if it is listed on the add remove program section.. PS you don't need it. if you have windows defender.
