Try restarting...when the eMachines splash screen appears (e)...press Alt+F10 at the same time...this is the method I learned about when my eMachines recovery management would not complete the restoration process...mine is a desktop pc...but give it a try and see what happens.

However, most motherboards label these connections directly on the motherboard next to their pins. Look for an area on the mother motherboard with two rows of six to eight pins. Next to them you should labels such as PWR_SW (power switch), RST_SW (reset switch), HDD_LED, PWR_LED, etc. You won't mess anything up connecting something to the wrong pins, but it isn't that hard to figure out as the wires are usually labeled in the same manner as the pins. try changing that power switch with restart switch SETS, i do that coz i dont really use restart switch. or check computer store, i recommended accessories or repair store.ask for set of power switch cable. usually they does have it on sale.HOPE SOLVE..
