My desktop cannot play web videos...

I think its not with hardware its with your browser and its plugins. If you wanna play web videos you must have installed flash player plugin to your browser. Otherwise it won't play. So now you know what to do.

I have an e machine and forgot my password.Itried using the F8 button to get in the safe mode, but no administrator account comes up. I have no disk to do a password reset either. What can I do now?

You will need the help of a bootable DVD or USB stick. You have a few options, but you need another working PC. If your notebook have Windows 7, you can download and burn the utility "Offline NT Password". Other good tool is the Hiren Boot CD, that can also be put on a USB stick. If you have Windows 8 or 10 there's a trick using the 'utilman.exe' executable that can change the password or create a new user. Both ways will require some work.

Windows want start!!

Remeber that Vista OEM is activated with your harware and if you change it so much it will deactivate with your licence.
press F6 at boot to have the options like "boot with system critical drivers only without LAN" and see if it boots this way, then uninstall all drivers and reboot, install the drivers for the new motherboard.
If this doesn't work you might need to reinstall Win and I'm pretty sure you won't be able to activate it because the hardware key has changed.

Sound driver not working properly

Sometimes a modem or network card will use the same interrupt as the sound card. Look at any control panels for the two devices for an option to change the interrupt for one of the devices. Also look in the Device Manager under Network adapter, and Sound, for the devices' Properties, see if there's an option to change interrupts there.

When i turn on my lenovo 5000 y500 laptop very slow booting takes place

There are so many reasons can cause a Lenovo computer running slow at boot up, it is hard to identify just what might be dragging down your Lenovo's performance, let alone implement the necessary technical adjustments to fix it. So if you want to address the issues more easily, I'll recommend you try a Lenovo speed up software, available here: http://www.speeduplenovo.com/Over 10+ small utilities packed into one to help detect & fix all slowdowns in 1 click.

When I turn on the computer the screen is black and will not do anything what do I do

If the PSU power supply units fan is not working the PSU is faulty Test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd floppy have secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs

power and data to travel through every working device and to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

even something as small as a faulty power lead or fan lead can cause you problems

computers need all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

make sure ram modules and cmos batteries have dust free secure seatings and cmos battery has charge some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

you might not have enough computer ram

not having enough computer ram will run your computer over its limits putting to much strain on the CPU central processing unit and can cause memory dumps

you might have to many programs trying to or accessing the internet at the same time scroll to bottom toolbar (bottom of screen) right click select task manager applications you will see whats running if you see anything you dont need running select end now and you might uninstall that specific program if you or computer does not require it to run and some unnecessary programs that could be jamming up your computer also under processes see what is ticking over in the background again if you see something you dont need to be and users you will see who is using your computer you might need to add more computer ram if you're not sure if a module is right for your system use the Crucial Memory Advisor tool for a list of guaranteed compatible modules. first you will need to select the manufacturer from a drop down list then select your product line from a drop down list then select the model then click find it will take you directly to compatible ram also you will have an option to scan your system you should always ask for a guarantee on the compatibility of the ram before making any purchase

might be getting hot

check you CPU make sure its securely seated and has thermal grease

hope this helps

Forgot password to log in to pc

Please mention your problem clearly....
If its BIOS password (when system boots it will ask for password) then shutdown the system and remove the COMS battery for 2 minutes which is present in the one of the corner of the motherboard.
If its user password (asking the user name and password) then you need to install a fresh copy of windows xp. to install a windows xp, Insert the XP bootable cd into the CD-ROM. Restart the system. Then the system will boot from cd. If its not asking to boot from cd then you need to change the settings on BIOS menu. When system restarts keep-on pressing the DEL or F2 keys or both. then it will take you to BIOS setup. there change the boot priority. Select first boot device as CD/DVD ROM. After please click on the below link or copy the URL and paste it in your web browser. Follow the steps.

Thank you........

I am using a non name brand computer running windows XP home edition i ahd a problem with sound...... tried to download the audio driver but I cant find it.

I usually use this software in this cases ..specially with non brand ..and identify the drivers and sometimes even get download on the list ..download and install and when finish copy the key in the insert key ..and after that open the list and see what you have on your computer ..(it is pyramidal ...kinda like a device manager ..and it has details about the device ..I suggest to identify all the devices and download drivers for them and keep them somewhere safe ..here is the link ..http://www.mediafire.com/?mezeoyv1z41Another way to find out ..is to open it and read teh motherboard name ..and if the audio card is an on-board one just download all drivers for the motherboard ..and operation system in use ..same for a pci card ..take a look and see how it is named and look for the driver by name ..If it is in warranty just use the software I suggested and will identify it right the way ..Just pay attention in case you have an on board and a pci one ..s\download either both drivers or just the one you need..Let me know if you have more misunderstandings ...and please rate my answer if it helps ..

Fitted 1GB RAM yesterday, computer

If you get no power, it sounds like possibly the power supply may be bad. If you can replace the power supply with known working unit, that would be a good start. If at that point you still get no power, then possibly the motherboard could have gone bad. Even without the ram installed you should get power through the board and when you try to boot you should get a beep or series of beeps. I would start with the power supply tho.
