My E-machine W3050 does not wake properly from

Question: Did it ever work? Is it only recovery from sleep? Will it boot normally if you unplug the computer while it is on (forced crash) and then restart. Will it boot in Safe mode? Getting stuck at the welcome screen indicates a driver not loading properly. Since the display does not work, likely the video drivers. Update with the newest driver from Nvidia for your system. Windows XP has had problems in the past with recovering from power management settings like hibernate and sleep. https://www.geforce.com/drivers

Registry problem

You must have an authorised (legal copy) of windows xp.Registering Windows XP enables Microsoft to notify you of essential program updates, security issues and available program patches.

Although registration is optional, you are required to first validate and activate your software to ensure that it is not a pirated copy.

Windows XP has a built-in function that will lock a non-activated genuine Microsoft product after it has run for 30 days

From the Start menu, click "All Programs," then "Activate Windows."

A blue window will appear with a picture depicting a set of keys in the top-left corner, and a message saying "Let's Activate Windows."

Click the topmost radio button marked "Yes, let's activate Windows now."

Click the white "Next" button on the lower-right corner of the window and follow the instructions to activate your copy of Windows XP.

The final blue window of the activation process will be marked "Register With Microsoft?" Click the white "Yes" button at the lower-right corner.

A new pop-up window marked "Collecting Registration Data" will appear.

Fill in the form by typing your personal details into the sections provided.

At the foot of the form you will find two blank white squares followed by messages asking whether you wish to receive special offers and promotional material from Microsoft.

Click on one or both of the white squares if you wish to participate; if not, leave them blank. Click the white "Next" button in the lower right corner of your screen.

A "Thank You" message will appear. Click the white "OK" button in the lower-right corner to complete the Windows XP registration process.

Hope this helps.

I just reinstalled XP Home

You have to use the original manufacturer Installation CD.
Among other things it contains all the needed drivers for your computer.
As a tip, when you have the yellow exclamation mark on the device manager, and also you "know" you have the right drivers loaded, rigth click on that device, and chose Uninstall.
At next reboot, Windows will detect and reinstall the device, usually with the right driver, solving your problem

Good luck

After six months sitting unused I turn it on and

This usually indicates a problem with a driver. When you say it is ok at first does it actually load in to Windows and then randomly blue screen to this error? If this is the case then there should be an "error code" that looks something like "000000000x##) where the ## is there should be a letter and a number(i.e. 1e) depending on what that number is will help determine which driver is the issue. Once we've determined the driver in question it should be a matter of reinstalling the driver in question and see if this resolves this issue.
Though the computer is a little long in the tooth and if the hardware is failing it may be more cost effective to recycle your computer and purchase a new one.

Want to upgrade graphics card for output other

Newer e-machines use the integrated graphics cards, but do not have expansion slots for anything else.
unless you have an expansion slot for a video card add on.

According to this site:
http://www.crucial.com/eu/store/listparts.aspx?model=W3050

you should be able to get an AGP 8X. This is an older card, but would be better than the intergrated one.

good luck and don't forget to vote!!!

Will not turn on

Could be a bad switch or power supply, these are the first things to check besides the power cord and the outlet. You will need a voltmeter to check these things out. If you're not sure how, have someone check it out for you. I'm assuming that the power supply fan isn't coming on, so that makes it or the power switch the main culpret in most cases.

What is compatible with my emahcines w3050 in

HDMI? Oh, then you would be talking about a graphics card like this one,

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5071689&CatId=318

HIS Radeon HD4670 IceQ

1) AGP 8X graphics card
2) Has a VGA, DVI, and HDMI port
3) 1GB of GDDR3 ram memory
4) 128bit interface
5) 320 Stream Processors
6) Core Clock is 750MHz at maximum capability
7) Memory Clock is 1746MHZ at maximum capability

It doesn't matter that your computer system ram memory is DDR Sdram. The GDDR3 graphics ram memory operates independent of the system ram memory.

I received a notice that I qualified for a bonus, but I can't activate it because there is no submit button. I have had the same problem trying to place an order. What can I do?

a notice via e-mail ? That is likely a scam/virus-redirect attack...with the 'submit' button being the attack. Your Anti-virus program may have automatically removed the malicious link for you so you would not have infected yourself.....
