My olympus mju ii the cover does not go across cleanly and it seems this is causing problems when the lens retracts suggestions?

It sounds like the issue you are experiencing with your Olympus MJU II camera is related to the cover not closing properly. This can cause problems with the lens retracting, which can lead to damage to the camera. Here are a few suggestions to fix the problem:
  1. Clean the cover and camera body: Dust and debris can accumulate on the cover and camera body, making it difficult for the cover to close properly. Use a soft brush or microfiber cloth to gently clean the cover and camera body.
  2. Check the cover's alignment: Make sure that the cover is properly aligned with the camera body. If it is off-center, it may not close properly.
  3. Check the cover's hinge: If the cover's hinge is bent or damaged, it may not close properly. Inspect the hinge and see if it needs to be adjusted or replaced.
  4. Check the lens mechanism: Make sure that the lens mechanism is clean and free of debris. Dust and debris can accumulate on the lens mechanism, causing it to malfunction.
  5. Have a professional take a look: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it may be best to take the camera to a professional for repair. They will be able to diagnose and fix the issue, or tell you if a repair is needed.
It's important to keep in mind that the Olympus MJU II is a film camera, and it's not manufactured anymore, so it's harder to find replacement parts. It's recommendable to have a professional check the camera before using it, to prevent further damage.

Olympus sp 590uz xd card not recognized by Mac

There are a few things you can try to get your MacBook to recognize your Olympus SD card:
  1. Make sure that the SD card is properly inserted into the card reader or the MacBook's SD card slot.
  2. Check to see if the SD card is locked. Some SD cards have a physical switch that can lock or unlock the card. Make sure the switch is in the unlocked position.
  3. Try using a different card reader or a different SD card to see if the problem is with the card reader or the SD card itself.
  4. Try using a different USB cable to connect the card reader to your MacBook.
  5. Check if your mac has the latest macOS update.
  6. Check if the SD card is formatted in a file system that your Mac can read (ex: exFAT, FAT32).
  7. Try running disk utility on your mac and repair the SD card.

I can't seem to open both the battery door and connector cover for olympus 550wp

If you are having difficulty opening the battery door and connector cover on your Olympus 550WP camera, there are a few things you can try:
  • Make sure the camera is turned off and there is no memory card or battery inside.
  • Locate the release buttons or latches for the battery door and connector cover. These are typically small plastic tabs or buttons that are located near the edges of the covers.
  • Press and hold the release buttons or latches while gently pulling on the covers to open them.
  • If the covers are still not opening, it may be that they are locked. Check the camera manual or the Olympus website to see if there is a way to unlock them.
If you still cannot open the covers, it's possible that they might be jammed. In that case, it's best not to force them open as this can damage the camera. It's best to contact Olympus customer service or a local camera repair shop for a diagnosis and estimate for repair if the issue persists.

This is a very old site but i bought an old camera so hopefully i this will help me.

Hi, Please ensure that the batteries are brand new for the camera. Then, restart it once or twice and check if the error remains. You can also remove and then re-insert the current sd card. But if this does not fix the issue, you might need to replace the old sd card with a new one. Otherwise, you might need to take the camera to an appropriate repair shop. Thank you.

The zoom of my Olympus digital camera sz-15 has opened by itself, and I tried to close it unsuccessfully.

Take it to a local camera store for professional repair. Or send it direct to Olympus. Camera repair is very specialized and needs to be done in a 'Clean Room'.

I'm looking for an Olympus D-620L SmartMedia card reader

This memory card is known as an 'SM' type of card. Sadly this format is now obsolete and is not in general use like the now common 'SD' type. If you hunt around you can find a general purpose multicard reader that will take various different types of memory card. These are usually cheap to buy and more useful as it can read more than one card type. Something like the link below should do the job. Make sure any you look at have 'SM' or 'Smart Media' in the description. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hama-00055348-35in1-Multi-Reader/dp/B000IH1W20/ref=sr_1_3?adgrpid=57448009850&gclid=CjwKCAjw9LSSBhBsEiwAKtf0n-_AKryFKznwm__3Ul-GL0TOmO91KadjqGK2V4FtARbJd5m3_VXqUBoCNeoQAvD_BwE&hvadid=311310235362&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=1006688&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=5544612184098298467&hvtargid=kwd-27614126&hydadcr=28180_1821132&keywords=smart+media+card+adapter&qid=1649235531&sr=8-3

My Olympus E-10 is not turning on

There is an internal battery or super capacitor that is supposed to hold the settings in the camera for about 24 hours. It could be dead but it should recharge in a couple of days if you leave the big batteries installed. If it wont turn on after that, you will have to send it in for service.

I had to by a new memory card to my Olympus Camedia C 750. I just found out that the 1GB I bought, will not work. Is tere any way of make a partion to make the camera accept the card?

Is the card you bought compatible with your camera? Older cameras cannot work with newer versions of memory cards. SD, SDHC,SDXC etc. have different form factors and old model cameras are not compatible with newer versions. If the problem is related to the card, you might like to re-format the card from a computer before inserting it in the camera and then format it again from the camera. Check and verify that before you try other solutions.
