Focus on a particular subject

Press the shutter button halfway until the green lamplights. While keeping the shutter button pressed halfway, re-compose your picture, then press the shutter fully.

My Olympus E-10 is not turning on
There is an internal battery or super capacitor that is supposed to hold the settings in the camera for about 24 hours. It could be dead but it should recharge in a couple of days if you leave the big batteries installed. If it wont turn on after that, you will have to send it in for service.
