The cliking noise is the laser pickup trying to focus on the disk, you either need to clean the laser pickup, or replace it. If it is out of warranty replacing the laser pickup is usually cost prohibitive. Department stores will sell laser pickup cleaners, it is a disk with little brushes attached to the bottom, try this first, if this does not fix it you can try to clean the lenz with a Q-tip and some windex on the Q-tip, but this usaly requires dis assembly of the tv to get to the laser pickup.

go to radio-shack or wal-mart or any electronics store and they can set you up with a universal remote control, if not order direct from philips

your tv needs to stay on the same channel for the cable box to work with the tv and you change the channel on the cable box not directly on the tv

The tape player section has some safety sensors inside that will shutdown the system when there is a problem. The most common cause of this is either a bad belt or "idler". If the tape is not moving or the take up side is not moving, this will happen. This is a simple repair for any shop and should runfrom $5-$25 for parts (belt - idler) plus the local labor rate.

I have the same problem with my MWC20T6A (from Walmart), and I keep blowing fuses. I read somewhere that it's in the motherboard which is about $150 to fix. I'll never by a combo again.

tv was working fine however when we moved it to another room it will not power on at all even using different plug ins

call comcast they should know the correct code its there unit.

May be a sensor problem, Just clean the disk with disk cleaner and try it.

if cable works on other tv , it would seem that your tv just hasn,t been tuned in. go to menu, auto search and click. hope thats all it is.

you probable have a dirty video head...you can try a tape head cleaner tape/// they sometimes work.... if not you need to get to the video head and clean it with a liquid cleaning solution---
one of your tapes may have a bad spot on it causing the problem...if you clean it and use the same bad tape again you can cause the same problem again

your set has a coaxal DIGITAL output so you must have a coaxal digital input to your reciever and that input must be assighned in the reciever to the selected input. page 10 of your manual explains how to hook up to the tv. your receiver's manual will tell you how to assighn the coax input.

Reset the VCR by unplugging/replugging, and then run a vhs cleaner.

I am afraid the set has a bad or broken tape transport, or better known as a bad tape carriage.

Manual will not help - if you unplugged it all night, and it will still not power up, try one more outlet in the house. If it still will not help, then you need to replace the power supply for the TV. Sorry.
