check all your solder connection and test the resistors on the conversion IC's , also check oscilating circuts

I had the same problem, I had a repair man to come out n he told me what the problem wasn that it will cost around $300.00. So i took it apon myself n removed the keyboard behind where the power buttons are. I waited 10 minutes and replaced it then I had no problems for3 years. Now that its started back up i need to replace it, but they don't sale the part n e more. But I found a substitue part on Sears direct parts n the part number is RFR-PTS-28 they look different but work the same. Right now the price is $28.00.

If you have any of the following problems you may want to check the site www.tvrepairkits.com for a repair kit. Most of the issue below are fairly common with the older Magnavox projection sets. 

Symptom: Screen shrinks and expands - may or may not correct itself after the TV warms up. After a few days, weeks, or months of having the shrinking/expanding problem you may loose all audio/video but the power light will remain lit!

(Note: The below symptoms typicaly occurs after having the expanding/shrinking screen problem above)

Symptom: No Audio or Video but power light is on

Symptom: Audio works but no Video. Power light still work

Symptom: No Video. Audio is intermittent. Power light still works

It should have in the menu ,under settings ,, convergenge,, it realines the colors,, ,,

sounds like the power supply or system board is going a tad soft...are you planning on calling a service professional or doing this yourself?

those are the fuses, often voltages will remain present after unplugging the set. That model is famous for the LSB board being defective. You can get new LSB boards at the following link. You can leave a email if your not sure which one you need for your model.

those models are famous for the LSB boards going bad and they are hard to track down the cause if the LED isnt blinking. You can get a repalcement LSB for your model at the following link. Leave them a email and they may make you a good deal on one. Heres the link.

This is a convergence problem and is either bad connections at the convergence ICs or defective ICs. If you can solder, you can repair this yourself. Let me know if you wish to repair this and I can provide you with additional details.

Vertical protection is what the two error code is. You can get a new Vertical output IC at the following link just leave them a email indicating your model number and what youre needing. They respond quickly.

I had the same problem, however we removed the back panel and right next the the outlet cord, you will find a small white tube, we just took it out and put it back in.

This actually prabably being caused by a fungus in the tubes. This model is knowen for fungus to grow in the tubes and cause a pink or red tint. If you are interested in reparing this yourself you will need to change the coolant in the tubes. I have a PDF file that will instruct you on how to complete this. If you have a repairman do this for you you will most likly pay $300-$400 to have this fixed.

Most common problem for this is the Flyback transformer/trippler. If you would like to try the repair yourself let me know and I will help you. If not a repairman should charge you around $400-$500 for the repair. Let me know what I can do to help!

this set is a standard 4:3 projection, so yes, to receive digital, you will need a converter.

This is a common problem with the older models. The opt chip fails. You can get a repair kit at www.magnavoxhelp.com. After a few months of getting smaller and smaller the audio and video will go out but the power light will remain lit.
