It sounds like a power supply problem, it could be as simple as an internal fuse (not the fuse in the plug) or something more sinister like a transformer issue which can become expensive, either way i wouldnt recommend repairing yourself unless your confident with electrics and know what to look for

Check first for loose cables...that is a common issue when the tv sets are moved.

If the lines are straight you likely over adjusted the brightness knobs...or you have a loose cable...if the lines are warped you need to adjust the convergence. If the convergenec wont adjust it needs to be repaired. Sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com have both kits,

Sounds like you may have just left one of the wires loose from the red tube. Not likely an issue from the gren tube but you can always cover the top of the lens and let just green shine up. That may help narrow it down also.

Here is more detailed info for you also.....

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from TvRepairKits.com . It includes replacement coolant, step by step instructions, support, etc.

I don't understand you language but I think you need both convergence amplifier IC's replaced. I hope this helps.

Not a good set repair wise-------I would say replace rather than repair.

Philips 60P8341... | Answered on Sep 03, 2012

The set has more than one---main power fuse is directly inside the set where the power cord goes.

If it is good provide a more detailed explanation of what set is doing.

Hello
The system memory IC of your TV has damaged. This is one, which stores all the setting we have done with remote control, including channel memmory. This IC works in conjunction with the main system control IC. When we switch OFF or do any other adjustments with the tV, all the data will be stored in this IC, and tetreived from it to main system IC to process when we switch ON the TV. This is a non-volatile memory chip, ie, even the power is OFF, the data stored in it won't lost. This is a very small IC, can locate very near to main system control IC. Will have 8 solder terminals [normally], and ver cheap to buy too. Even though it is a very cheap and small one, the function of it in the circuit is great. In some Vizio sets, this IC will be of SMD [surface Mount Device] type, and on othere will be a DIL [Dual In Line] type pin confujuration. If your TVs memory is of first as stated above [SMD], replacing it will not be an easy job. If it is of second type, it can be replace easly.
Anyway, this is not a work that can be done without skill. If you have enough knldege in electronics, and have a concept of desoldering and soldering, have all soldering equipments with you, you can do this work by yourself at home. Otherwise you have to seek assistance from an experienced service technician. OK.
