Did you replace the resistors when you replaced the convgence chips? If one of them was bad you would still have the problem.

Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos.

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed or warped.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.



You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.


Solution


You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kits for most models. If you don't see a kit for your set send them a quick email and they will put one together for you. Their kits includes photo instruction guides, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, etc.

You should be able to access the screen from behind after taking the back panel off.Also if you reach up inside the rear wall you can clean the mirror ad picture tube lenses. This will make a vast improvement on picture brightness and quality.

check fuses

it sounds as if there are speakers to close to the tv or the built in speakers are not magnetically sheilded properly (maufacturer defect) if u have or have ever had speakers on the left and right side of your tv then the magnets in them will discolor and distort the screen. sometimes even long after the speakers have been moved away from the tv it will still look that way. you may try going to the library( or online )and looking in tv repair books on how to build a homade degauser unless your tv has that feature built into it in the menu somewhere like some computer monitors do. I had placed the front speaker of a 5.1 surround sound system on top my tv and it cuased that same problem, but i found out that by placing a small round magnet with a hole in the center on top of the tv (after removing the speaker for good) right where the discoloration was.. had to flip it one side or the other to get proper effect...it immediatly took away most of the discoloration and over time it disappeared. ok first deconect your tv from electric power and leav it around 30 min then put it back tha should work because the tv had himself degasus incorporated

Go into the add/delete channels and add them then program the setbagain.

To be honest if you have never worked on a set I would reather you contact a tech in your area. You can do more damage that it may already have by being a fierst timer or having no experience.

See if the issue happens in the menu alsoif not replace the small signalbaord.

Ih the DVP works on the other set and not this one the proble is the snall signal board 313503711711.

Use another input and switch between sources.

By 7045 cap 2061 and resistor 3148 and 7044 should be the only thing.

Try holding in the front two volume buttons on the front of the tv.

does this sound like some thing burning or sparking??
and do you see the stand by light blinking?

if yes how many times?

if you tell us the interval of blinks it would be much helpful for us to decode it.

well this happens do to a faulty color wheel sir.

and you will need to see for some kind of loose fittings and will have to replace the full wheel if needed.

You need to replace both convergence ICs they are STK392-120 and you will also need 4 of the 6.8 ohm 1watt resistors. You can get replacement ICs and resistors at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions with pictures.
