Use the auto-search function for your device on your universal remote control. I think you first: 1. Hold the set key, then the power button 9a red light should be observed at this time on the remote control), 2. Release the buttons, and the light will start to blink at intervals (Make sure at this time, the remote is pointed to the device sensor, and monitor this closely). 3. Once it is able to put your device off, quickly press the set button. Then 'on' you go. Enjoy.

if your completely against their products i wouldn't go for an x-ray anytime soon it's not plillips as much as just getting a lemon in a bunch of apples and if you got close to 5 years out a boxed-theater set-up i'd say you did ok learn from it and get a set-up more apt to fit what you felt that system lacked in the sound department i did ok in the local classifieds and built a system worth about 3000$ for under 750$ by finding pieces at budget deals and always checking user reviews for items i am going to purchase because 1000 opinions usually lead to find the good and bad points of a product hope this helps and sorry to hear your bad luck with your equipment

Make sure that the antenna is properly hoked up. In most cases it just come loose, happens on my Pioneer system all the time. And if you have pets or it gets nudged or bumped frequently this can happen. If that still doesnt solve the problem I would recommend buying a new antenna available at most electronics stores.
How to connect with mobile PHILIPS MODEL NO DSP 3300
This music system is a basic setup so your choices are limited. You could try using a cable connection. The type you need is a "phono jack plug" to "3.5mm jack plug" cable. They are usually very cheap and most TV and Technology Stores will keep them in stock. The cable has different styles of connector at each end. One end is the same as the round red and white plugs at the top of the photograph and the other end is a standard headphones connector. Plug the red and white pair into an 'Audio In' position on the back of the system and the other end into the headphone hole on your mobile phone. (Try the position above the two already in the system). Select the channel on the system for that connector and press play on your mobile device.>
