this problem is caused by the interruption of the fuse .if you can replace it, you might solve the problem.(before removing the cover of the tv-set make sure you unplugged it.replace the fuse with an identical one, then plug-in the tv-set and turn it on).i hope that it will work.if no change contact the nearest repair shop.
32 in sanyo tv
no. the tv has to be built for hd. if you want to watch true hd you have to have an hdtv.
Digital tv
absolutely not. digital applies only to vhf/uhf signals.
Problem with video input
If you look at your remote there should be a small rectangular box (shape of a tv) with an arrow going through it. You can use this to flick through av1 av2 etc
Standard TV-Auto shut down
TV's have a circuit that monitors the high voltage and shuts down the set if it senses something amiss.
Figure on replacing the flyback transformer.
However, my experiance is to not put money into a TV that is over ten
years old. TVs stress out their electronic components worse than
almost any other electronic product. After 10 years, there are so
many parts that are ready to fail that your are probably wasting your
money trying to get any more life out of it.
Another option is to wholesale replace the main board from an outfit like PTS Electronics at ptscorp.com.
Hope ya fix it!
Cable
did you try to connect your tv to another source in the house.if you have cable anywhere else. try to connect your tv to that cable.if that works you might have to buy a new cable for your tv.
Problem
deko, heres the number for Sanyo parts, 800-877-5032, you can order the service manual there, part number for manual is KTDS27425. I`m sorry I don`t have it to look up the IC but it will be very usefull to have the manual, I think it`s around $20.00
good luck with it, BMW Rider
Sanyo DP 37647
What input did you connect the satalite to? Probably one of the
'video' inputs I'm guessing, which means you have to select that video
source using the 'INPUT' button on your remote. (Some makers use
different names but you get the idea)
Hope Ya Fix it!
Analog TV
Vertical sweep failure.
It will be an I.C. with a part number that probably starts with an LA_
_ _ _ and be on a heat sink in the vicinity of the connector
going up to the yoke. Try replacing that. But first, check
all the electrolytic caps around it for testing dry (sorry - takes a
special meter to do it in circuit) or just replace them. May have
lost power to the I.C. as well. Look the I.C. up in the
free NTE crossreference at nteinc.com get a diagram of its pinout to
find what pins the power and outputs are on.
Hope ya fix it!
Screen does not stay clear
How old is this TV?
My experiance is to not put money into a TV that is over ten years
old. TVs stress out their electronic components worse than almost
any other electronic product. After 10 years, there are so many
parts that are ready to fail that your are probably wasting your money
trying to get any more life out of it.
Be careful on buying a new one though. Often times, these new
technology ones are much worse. Always Google the model number of
the set you intend to buy and add the word 'repair' or 'complaint' to
see if it is one of the many models that are customer service
nightmares being produced by even the most reputable companies today.
Hope ya fix it!
Tuner roams
Hi,
If the picture is roaming as you say then check to see if you have 33 volts on one of the pins of the tuner. If not this will trace across almost the whole board to a resistor: some models will be 39k and other will be 27k. May be (don't remember exactly) R106. Anyway there will be 130 volts on one side and 0 on the other. This feeds the tuning voltage to the tuner 33 volts. I have seen it where the picture is not there at all and sometime I have seen it as you say sort of roaming off frequency. Hope this helps
TV (Model DS27510) is stuck on Video2 setting, unable to change!!
Ours is doing the same thing except on Video 1. I called Sanyo customer service and they said I need the original remote. They were willing to sell me one for $20. Here is what I did instead. I used a cable box and hooked the cable in to it. Then I took the type of cables that will hook into my video 1 slot and plugged them in there and plugged them into the back of the cable box in the "cable out" positions. It worked ! If you do not have a cable box you might try a DVD/VCR combo or a VCR. Good Luck
Tv power up, no picture, then power off all with in 5 seconds

- plug or socket loose where tv is connected.
- loose connection in switch.
- some connector loose in power supply
- switching transistor in power supply &horizontal section loose or wire open
- some capacitor loose in oscilltor section in power supply.
- if you are not tech. person please take help.
- hope this will help

Original problem
You could have a power supply problem or a sweep supply problem. If you have had any TV repair experience, you will need to get a schematic and go from there. if you have not and still want to learn, Please read the article im posting for you. A tv set is not a place to be poking around in if your not sure where to poke. Good Luck

How to test the voltage regulator
The only test you can do on this regulator is to see if is shorted or not, this is a switching regulator ,that means is design to be use in a switching power supply witch turns the transistor on and off constanly and uses feedback to stay regulated, the B+ they use in the collector is around 150 volts,an small square wave is applied to the base ,it gets amplifies and energizes the primary side of the transformer to generate all the supplies ,one of this supplies provides the feed back.I hope I have given you the more than the information you needed.
