CD 3 DISC PLAYER MODEL ES222E

First place to troubleshoot for the above listed issues are the gears, if gear driven spindle, or the belt if it is belt driven. If gear driven spindle apply enough non-attractive lubricant to the gears so they function freely. If belt driven clean all surfaces that the belt touches to ensure all dust or debris is removed and then lubricate center spindle posts only so that they can rotate freely and with as little friction as possible.

It has its momentary popularity in the country for the comparable quality of its appliances particularly audio equipment at cheaper prices. In early 2000, the company plummets towards insolvency and was acquired by the biggest electronics company in the world, Sony Corporation. Aiwa was given a new lease of life as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony. In 2004 however, 2004 Sony has shelved its support for the Aiwa brand as manufacture and distribution of Aiwa products were discontinued. Similarly in the Philippines, the Solid Group Inc. (SGI), the local company in charge of the marketing, sales and service of Sony products had also put off the marketing and distribution of the Aiwa appliances. By 2006, Aiwa products were no longer sold in the market around the world. Technically therefore, there exists no Aiwa Service Center anymore. However, Sony, its mother company and the Solid group in the Philippines may still provide repair services for Aiwa products. My Sharp CD-M10000W displays "PROTECTION"

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'nekkid'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as another possible root cause for intermittent shutdown.

CD player will not recognise

Hi,

how long have you been using this player? The problem should be from the lens (laser).

The lens is weak and that's why it cannot read/load Cd's. The weak lens is also what's making it not recognize or play disc.

Get a lens cleaner and use it to clean the lens, but if the lens still does the same thing even after using the lens cleaner, then it means you would have to change the whole lens completely to a brand new one.

By so doing your player would play all Cd's with no problem at all.

Good luck.
