How do you unlock ipod when you forgot passcode
You can not unlock it unless you have the Password. In order to override the lost password you must perform a factory reset, this will unfortunately erase all your stored data and return the tablet to the out of the box condition.. I get this question a lot and sorry there is no answer but a factory reset. To read the reset instructions just Google the make and model and the words "Factory Reset".

Give the Apple companies 1-800 number a call. A lot of times they can take the VIN number off your ipod and you have to confirm a few things but if all information is correct they will let you know what it is or help you unlock it.

get fire cable and plug it in to a USB port or wall charger i assume you're asking about an iPod touch 5 if not get the older style cable and do the same as mentioned before

Hi, I don't know if you solved the problem with your iPod but you can try this as I had a similar problem and it worked for me:
Most problems with these older iPod's can be solved by resetting it (and I didn't lost anything stored on the device).
To Reset iPod:
1. Connect iPod to a power outlet using the iPod Power adapter.
2 Toggle the Hold switch on and off (set it to Hold, then turn it off again).
3. Press and hold the Select and Menu buttons for at least 6 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
That's it. hope it solves your problem.
Keeps saying use iTunes to restore
If it says that you should use iTunes to restore, then no way, you should de a Factory restore using itunes. Check in iTunes help how to do it.
